This hotel used to be one of my husbands and I favorite hotels when we visited London because it was very welcoming and they made you feel like family. Unfortunately, they are under new management, which treat you more like a number or I should say $. I have never seen so much staff act so poorly at the same time. They must’ve had at least 30 people on staff who were doing nothing but running around in circles. They were a very nice hotel to begin with but with the new management they seem to be trying to make it something that it is not, they have not done anything particularly different to make it more upscale but you charge more money for each room and provide outdoor tea parties. Everything else is exactly the same but the the staff’s attitude makes you feel as if your money isn’t good there. There were two people who arrived early that day, I was one of them. Now, after traveling extensively, I understand what the average check in time is for hotels, but I have never run into what I did on this day with this hotel. Upon arriving in attempting to check in, I was told that I would have to wait till 3 PM, I asked if they could please contact me if my room or available before that time. I was then told that if it is available before that time I will be charged $20 per hour by entering the room before 3 PM. This is something I’ve never heard in my 30 years of traveling. I then sat in the lobby for six hours, going up a few times to see if my room was ready and was finally told that they will let me know when my room is ready. But they must’ve forgotten about me even though I went up to them over and over and over again because when I went back up to the desk at exactly 3 PM, they were 12 people in line, so they obviously did not care less about the fact that I had been sitting in the lobby for six hours, and obviously my room had been ready. There was something wrong with their computers and there were five people behind the desk who knew absolutely nothing about what they were doing. Everyone trying to check in was complaining, they were also forcing us to fill out and sign paperwork that I have never had to do before, and one of the guests in front of me refused to sign it, and they told him that he cannot stay at the hotel if he did not. It is very sad because we have stayed here for years, but my husband and I will never come back here again. It is obvious that all they care about is making money rather than Customer Service.

This place is great! The outside photos are not 100% accurate as they appear to be larger than life. The entrance actually is quaint and right off of the park. I wanted to experience a true English stay and this fit the bill! The staff is super helpful and kind, the rooms remind you of everything when you think of English down to to the window drapes, velvet chairs, tea and biscuits! Yet has every modern essential that you need..even warming towel rack! Its odd shape adds to its charm, it is larger than you think because it appears that they combined two properties. So each side has its own bar area. The part of the hotel I stayed in the bar area was set up like your typical pub. Very quaint where as the main bar near the lobby was more modern. The beds were very comfortable and everything was starch white and clean! It was a perfect lovely English stay.

Wow - hidden gem ! Booked last minute after a bad experience at an apartment nearby. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Staff, polite & friendly, rooms, very high standard, bed linen crisp, Nespresso machine & slippers! Opposite a lovely park & a short stroll across to St James, the Mall, Palace etc. highly recommend

I've stayed here a few times when working in a training venue nearby. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. It's in a great spot to access the different parts of Westminster. The rooms I have stayed in have been spacious, comfortable, clean, and well set out. The problem I have with the rooms is the working desk area. The desk chair is just too low and not conducive to getting work done. When I stack up the cushions it is just uncomfortable and certainly not good for posture. Working when away on business is very important to me and so this lets down the hotel which is a shame. I've mentioned this on my previous stays but nothing has changed.

Just come back from my third stay at Wellington by Blue orchid. It’s such a lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had to change rooms this time and they switched me to such a lovely one with a balcony overlooking the park. It was stunning! Always my go to place when I visit London, great location and feels really safe as a solo female traveller

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February and were quite disappointed with several aspects. You could clearly feel the wind coming through the windows, which made it hard to stay warm and comfortable. Breakfast was included, but unfortunately, the coffee was AWFUL and barely drinkable. We asked for an espresso and we had to pay for it.

The bathroom had an alarming sign instructing guests to keep the door closed while showering to avoid setting on the fire alarm. This added unnecessary stress to what should have been a relaxing stay.

Overall, the location might be convenient, but the comfort and experience were far from what we expected.

The staff is very nice but the website is incredibly misleading. It advertises 24 hour room service which is a big reason I booked this hotel. I’d been traveling all day and hadn’t eaten. I spent the entire cab ride from the airport planning my order only to be told that room service ends at 9:30pm and they only offer cold sandwiches. The onsite restaurant is now different and their service ends at 10. I was checking in at 9:50pm. As the onsite restaurant did not suit my tastes I asked what restaurants were nearby as 10pm isn’t late in a city like London. They said there are no restaurants and recommended I try Uber Eats. As lovely as the staff is, I wouldn’t book here again.

Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and have fridge.||Air con is not working (not feeling any cold), but the sundown can be half open.||Hotel located between 3 or 4? underground station, it takes almost 10-15 minutes walk from each station.
