Great location by LGW, very convenient for travelers who have overnight lay overs between their flights. Shuttle bus runs every 15minutes to/from the airport to the hotel. Comfortable bed, clean room with all amenities. Excellent breakfast with choice of hot English breakfast, cereals and fruits, croissants - something delicious for everyone! We enjoyed the hearty breakfast a lot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Especially Vida, at the restaurant was very warm and friendly extending her hospitality to everyone. I’d highly recommend a stay here with family if you need to be around Gatwick.

Good hotel to catch an early flight and easy to reach with the Hoppa bus service, although at £4 for a 10 minute ride, it was a little pricey. Good room and sound proofing, with the restaurant and bar area looked quite attractive. The menu was very wide ranging, I had the burger and chips and that is exactly what I got, a burger on a plate and a small container of chips for £20 - no garnish or anything to make it look slightly attractive or appealing. Combined by the lukewarm burger, it was just something to eat, rather than to enjoy. It was my first meal of a holiday, I just wished there was a better way to celebrate it.

Great service from the moment we arrived. We received a very warm welcome from the reception staff, the rooms are just what you need for a night or two before or after your flight. The restaurant staff were fantastic. They made us feel at home. They were also incredible with our 3 year old son. Robert and Aura were fantastic throughout our meal. I would recommend the hotel and the restaurant to anyone.

We have stayed at Holiday Inn, Povey Cross, several times, most recently early this month. Always, our stay has been enjoyable - comfortable room, good food and service, and location convenient for both LGW and London itself. The very best part is the excellent service from all the staff but in particular the Reception people. They have never failed to go the extra mile for us. This last time we were helped by Daria who personally took charge of our huge amount of baggage and stored it in a secure facility so we didn't have to keep it in our room. All the staff, including the Customer Service people online, have made our stays a real pleasure. Our thanks to all of them. We will see them on our next visit!

Cozy hotel, amazing surroundings, ease of access by GH1 bus from Gatwick airport.
Food is yummy, fresh and appealing presentation. I liked the ambience and arrangements.

Most strong aspect is the cordial, polite and professional staff. All staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. Especially Ms Kiran and Ms Angela from dinning area were helping everyone and doing their best to make dining experience an exceptional one.

Thanks Holiday Inn team for a wonderful experience.

great experience!
i have come here multiple times as a result of the cleanliness of the rooms, large variety of food choices and the friendliness of staff particularly Robert working in the restaurant was particularly helpful as he informed us of any information we needed and anything we asked about and he had a very positive attitude telling jokes, smiling and interacting with the whole table, this made the experience much more welcoming and enjoyable! i would definitely recommend and will be coming again !!!

Such a wonderful start to the holiday. So convenient and enjoyable. Definitely recommend it if you have a very early flight. Easy to park and come back to collect the car, Shuttle bus easier than airport parking as within 5 minutes to the north terminal.

I have just checked out today and wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience.

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed at many hotels across the UK and internationally over the past year, and this experience was extremely disappointing. I will not be booking this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The room was old, dirty, and had a persistent unpleasant smell. The bathroom, particularly the toilet and bathtub, was in unacceptable condition—dirty, smelly. There was visible mould in the hotel. The bathtub was so unclean and small that we couldn’t even take a proper shower.

The bed, which was listed as a double, was far too small for two people. Overall, the hotel building felt very run-down and certainly not up to the standards expected of a 4-star property, let alone one under the Holiday Inn brand.

We also paid for breakfast, expecting at least the usual standard. However, the options were very limited, the service was poor, and the cutlery provided was dirty. In fact, we had to ask for it ourselves, and even then it wasn’t clean.

I left feeling extremely disappointed and let down by what should have been a reputable hotel experience. Had it not been so late when we arrived, I would have looked for alternative accommodation.

Disappointed!!!
