Great for my boys to let off some steam after school. Buy unlimited balls for an hour and they can chase monsters around the course with their balls 🙂 needs advertising more though as without being told by a friend, I'd never have known how much fun it could be. Could also have food and drink whilst watching. Perfect 🙂

I’ve been a member of the fitness and spa facilities for some time now, and I want to highlight how fantastic the staff are – always friendly and helpful. The coffee is great and the food is good too. However, the spa and pool facilities have noticeably declined in quality.

The hot tub and hydro pool have been cold for months and months, despite repeated assurances and reports that the boiler has been fixed. This has been ongoing for so long that it now feels like the new normal rather than a temporary issue.

The swimming pool itself is also colder than expected, which makes it unsuitable for young children. Although swimming lessons are offered, we’ve chosen to take our daughter elsewhere where the water is warmer and more comfortable.

Additionally, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities – especially the changing rooms – have dropped significantly. For a venue marketed as a premium facility, the wear and tear is becoming very apparent.

I hope this feedback is taken on board as I genuinely value the club, but I believe improvements are urgently needed to bring the spa and pool area back to the standard it once was.

Nicely laid out club house, with Gym and a pool. Rent out for private functions. Golf course 9 &18 holes buggies from £25.
Course in good condition. Tee boxes need some work. Greens varying speeds. Can get a bit windy like most open courses. Various types of holes. Each presenting different types of shots. Definitely need to think going round.
People and staff seem nice, helpful and pleasant.

My family and I love this place and we are very picky when it comes to leisure facilities. We have the leisure membership, and everything is kept clean and maintained.

The staff are friendly and approachable. I had the opportunity to speak to the manager a year or so ago and it is clear he is very knowledgeable and customer centric.

There have been a few issues with the hydra pools in recent months, but the staff communicate any issues and it is clear they make every effort to resolve them. That is a testament to their professionalism.

I used to be a member of other leisure facilities in the surrounding area and they cannot compete with Birchwood.

We went to Birchwood Park to attend a celebration of a beautiful life cut sorrowfully short, and not to play golf. That said, we were greeted by beautiful and immaculately kept grounds that were being used by plenty of golfers engaged in their sport. The views were nothing short of stunning, the atmosphere serene.
The room we were in was spacious and light with a sheltered balcony and easy access to bathroom facilities. All guests were made to feel very welcome by all members of Birchwood Park's staff from serving staff to the bar manager: I felt they appreciated the solemness of the occasion, and were beyond courteous. The afternoon tea provided was fulsome, with copious amounts of sandwiches - quality fillings well presented. We all to a man left feeling much more relaxed, even in spite of the initial purpose of us coming together: I think that the venue combined with the way we were all looked after by the staff had a lot to do with this.

First time playing on this course. Enjoyed playing the 18 holes but only criticism really and that was the lack of signage for the next tee after completing each hole.
The bar on a Saturday closes at 7.30.

Everything and everyone at Birchwood is good and I’ve enjoyed my membership for many years . But, there is 1 or 2 faults major 1 being outside Hyde-pool
They advertise indoor and outdoor doors Hyde-pools …. Well this is false advertising because the outside pool is always out of action and hardly ever in use and the inside one breaks down regularly also , but members never see any compensation from management but they are soon to put membership up ££ with out solving the problem. So the spa area does let the place down
