Spent a night in the hotel. Found the hotel staff very welcoming and friendly and appreciated the shuttle service to town center. Parking facilities and location are excellent. The room size was good and comfortable bed. Bathroom was a let down and could be more cheerful and should have more toiletries given the room rate. Breakfast was more than adequate but the quality was poor and nothing special - coffee was the best. Overall found the hotel comfortable but expensive for what it provided.

Found this hotel to be a nice surprise. Made welcome during stay and all staff we came into contact with were focused on providing a high level of customer service. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, so provides guests with a list of places to eat in the city centre, together with a free shuttle service to/from hotel to city centre. We had a river view room, which looked towards the cathedral and across fields frequented by sheep( almost rural so close to Salisbury) A bus service/stop into Salisbury is just outside the hotel for those without a car.

A fantastic hotel with outstanding staff!

We arrived late in the evening and needed four rooms. We were assisted by two incredibly friendly gentlemen, one of whom, if I remember correctly, was named Jason. We only had to wait five minutes for our room keys, and during that time, we were kindly offered a drink.

Jason then informed us that, unfortunately, the hotel did not have a restaurant, but they provided a shuttle service to the city center. We took advantage of this, and what an amazing service it was!

10/10 for the service and staff!

This place is almost perfect, great clean accommodation, setting. Bats flying within feet whilst enjoying an evening drink by the water. The elderly lady who showed us to the room gave me an up and down look with one raised eyebrow, I presume because I turned up in my work gear. The breakfast was unorganized, no plates or milk. Almost like it was the opening day. All things said it was nearly my favorite.

After we had arrived at our sons house in Hove on Wednesday having dep. The Riverside we had a telephone message from the hotel to say we had left some of our luggage in the reception before departing. We then spoke to reception and advised we could not return to collect but as my life giving medication was contained therein could it be sent by courier to us to arrive by Thursday/Friday latest and this was agreed. We had a telephone conversation from Victoria in the afternoon the following day to say that despite our precise instructions the note had not been acted upon by the man we spoke to and had not been passed on. As a result the luggage would not be del. until Wednesday the following week by which time I would have been dead. I realise that this was of my making but this level of service is just not acceptable. We now have to visit A&E at our local hospital 2mor to try and get the required medication.
The room servicing was not good the night we stayed and this was reported to reception. This included insufficient toilet rolls supplied, one hand towel missing, neither the biscuits or the drinking water were replaced, a wet and dirty cleaning cloth was left on the dressing table, the floor did not appear to have been hoovered.
PS: It finally arrived a week later and they even charged us the postage. We had to go to A&E over the weekend to get more medication which took us hours to sort out. You think they could have got a simple thing right. I also reported this on our survey form we were sent but no one came back to me hence this posting.

This inn is absolutely perfect!!

Located just a short 15 minute drive from Stonehenge, it’s the perfect place to stop for an evening or two of quaint English country side relaxation! The town of Salisbury is so cute and even features one of 4 original pieces of the Magna Carta!

The staff here is so kind, your room includes an evening drink at the on-site bar/terrace, which has the most beautiful and relaxing view!!

Plus it has an EV charger!!

Highly Recommend!!!!

Lovely hotel in centre of Salisbury. Rooms beautifully clean and spacious. Really comfy and quiet. Great breakfast too. No on site restaurant but this was no problem as hotel provides an excellent free shuttle service to and from the many great eateries in centre. We ate at the wonderful 12th century pub The Haunch of Venison (exceptional food and atmosphere) and the Everest Brasserie a Nepalese restaurant which was great. Hotel staff really lovely and helpful and excellent value for money. Will definitely return.

Afternoon tea.
The cake stand when presented at the table looked very attractive and appetising. Sandwiches good selection and freshly prepared. Lovely selection of miniature cakes all very tasty with a small trifle . Good quality tea served in a teapot and a second pot was offered.
Waitress very pleasant and efficient.
Enjoyed a glass of prosecco on arrival.
Nice surroundings - all added up to a relaxing enjoyable afternoon.
