Very happy that we chose the Citadines South Kensington. The room and the bathroom were smallish, but manageable for a couple. Enjoyed having the kitchenette for coffee and snacks with a refrigerator for cold water. For a six night stay, we got a cleaning in the middle of the week. Clean towels are provided whenever you need them. Our room in the back was quiet, with a big picture window overlooking the cute “mews” behind the hotel. The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating.||However, the best thing about the Citadines South Kensington is it’s location. Walking out the door, I felt I was in a British romcom! There were plenty of shops and restaurants. I especially recommend the Café Society a half block from the hotel for a delightful breakfast or lunch. And only a 10 minute walk to Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. ||I could not imagine a more delightful hotel and neighborhood and for that reason we will be returning. It added a dimension to our vacation that I did not expect.

This was my second stay at the Citadines in South Kensington--I first stayed there in the late '90s while on a work assignment. It impressed me then and all over again this year. We don't regret paying a little extra to stay in one of the two-floor apartment-style units for three nights. Room 115 gave us a lot of room (a king bed upstairs and a fold-out couch on the main), the kitchen was well-kitted, and the bed was extremely comfortable. And it was remarkably quiet given its prime location in the museum district! We were able to walk everywhere--the Gloucester Road tube station is just up the street, near a big Waitrose store. (There's also a lovely little artisanal food store immediately outside the hotel.) We spent hours strolling Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and the V&A and made the short trip by tube to the West End for a show. (There's also a bus stop right out front.) We appreciated the warm welcome and can-do attitude of the staff and the free coffee bar in the lobby. We will definitely be back. Meantime, the only thing I'd like to see improved is the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was good enough, a room of this quality deserves a sparkling privvy! It's 75 pounds by taxi to LHR or take the Piccadilly Line.

Great location for walking to V&A and science museums. Large room that had separate bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked with implements. Couch folded out into two single beds. Excellent value for money for family of four during the off-season. Free hot drinks and fruit in the foyer.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from subway station. Cleanliness is fair. No daily room keeping services. There is laundry room at the basement but you have to pay extra charges. Freebies fruits and Coffee machine at the concourse .

It was a very good stay.. The room was in excellent space, I was accompanied by my wife's family and two children. The services are above excellent, in addition to the location, tranquility and proximity to the subway. Fruits are available daily in the lobby in addition to the coffee machine. The staff were very friendly and I thank them for the good reception and welcome, their names did not come to me, but they have all the thanks and appreciation from me. Jamal Al-Maliki

Ok so it’s hard to rate with stars for this place. I’ll start with the cons…..it wasn’t that clean, at all. It def felt rundown. We also heard a lot in our room. Baby crying upstairs (poor hon) and people discussing next door, pipes creaking. Plus they need better tech in the rooms (usb plug/tv upgrade)…also weird doors in different places-random but true.
The positive-Super friendly staff. Love the coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need even if it’s a bit shabby…but it was great to have that! Tons of pillows and towels which was a plus and I def recommend the one bed deluxe for a fam, they were nicer and more spacious. We had two different rooms during our travels. And finally the location was AMAZING. I never stayed in this area before and it was perfect for our little ones and getting around the city. The price I have to say was decent for the area.

Aged facilities from the carpet to the lift, but the last straw was dusty bedsheets and pillows. I couldn’t sleep well but it was too late by the time we checked in. When we asked to change the sheets the next morning, it was only done after repeated reminders. I liked the rather convenient location with several cafes and stores just outside the hotel but the cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired.

Everything was mostly good.Nice things:- There's free coffee and fruits in the lobby.Things to call out:- no free laundry service, you have to pay 5 GBP for laundry.- stepping out from the bath tub into the toilet is a slip hazard, my partner actually slipped, luckily she wasn't injured.- Noise insulation is quite poor for the room, when there are loud guests in neighboring rooms, you'll likely hear them. During our stay, we had a group of young men staying in one of the neighbouring rooms, they'd just keep talking loudly till midnight almost every night, tough to sleep in before midnight as a consequence.
