We came to stay for four nights and ended up staying for 14… love it here. They have everything going on for every interest. It may not be be the flashiest or the poshest but the price is amazing and all the essentials are taken care of. Meals are really reasonable and are well presented. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. It feels like a happy holiday place. Don’t overlook this place thinking the price reflects quality… and to top it all off the hotel is opposite the most beautiful ha tv our where the sun rises every morning

I had room 906, it was pleasant and clean View was lovely from the balcony. Food was very nice, I had half board so buffet breakfast and dinner was included. The food was hot and tasty. The pool looked lovely but I didn't use it. The bar area is nice but sadly the staff seem a bit frosty and the evening entertainment wasn't great so I spent each evening in my room. However it's much better in this hotel overall now than it was when I came 4 years ago. I'd definitely come back here again.

Friday to Monday break , booked through UK breakaways , I think we should've been informed by them that half the hotel was booked out for a Weekend private event , happens occasionally apparently , ticketed only ! So the ballroom was a no go , meaning the entertainment was in the bar only ! No dancing , watching only ! Not enough seats for the bingo or the entertainment! Bar busy , queues for the half price deal ! Meals in smaller restaurant as the bigger one was used for private event , food OK but never very hot ! Buffet style! Different choices, salad best option ! Room was 6th floor , very clean & comfy , prepare to wait for lifts !! One out of order to ! Parking reduced rate for 3 days , £10.50 , very reasonable 👍 5 minutes walk to centre of town , although hilly ! Varied shops , Wetherspoon an ex church , lovely 😍 |Overall an enjoyable weekend , weather helped 😎

Summary - cheap but wouldnt return||Carpark is a nightmare, nowhere near enough spaces (and v easy to get blocked in by inconsiderate parkers) and costs an extra £5/day. Suggest buying daily as if u cant park you wont get refunded |Building is really old and run down needs redecorating!|Vaguely clean. The bedside table and tv remote is covered in clear slime though|Shower randomly cuts out all cold input and scalds you|Wifi doesnt work in the rooms, barely any 3g so basically internet-less|Rooms are only serviced if you ask dor it|Bring your own tea/coffee||Very good view is the only real positive|

It is an old styled hotel with lots of rooms on one floor. The sound proof is okay. The bed is not well fixed when I went in but the receptionist is nice n friendly. But considering the price, you got everything u need. It is right in front of the Harbour which is pretty decent.

Spectacular stay as always, I upgraded to a balcony a room and we weren’t disappointed. Amazing views of the harbour, beach and the white cliffs of Dover on the large balcony. At night it was lovely clear skies and we could see France from our balcony. Room was a great size with homely furniture and furniture for the balcony too. All clean and up to a high standard. Beach and harbour is just a 2 minute walk across the road. Bar and restaurant yet again superb! I went with a dog and had no problems getting meals. Staff as always super polite and helpful they are a credit to the hotel! Highly recommend The Grand Burstin to anyone!

We went with a Just Go coach trip. After reading some of the reviews of the hotel I was afraid that this hotel was not going to be good. However I found it to be the opposite , the rooms were clean and tidy yes there was outdated furniture. The rest of the hotel had recently been decorated throughout and new carpets everywhere. The food was of a good standard and a good selection. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fantastic location, friendly staff and the food was lovely, particularly the carvery.
Had a very spacious room, clean and a view of the harbour but it was a little tired.
Having said that it was great value for money and we would definitely stay again
