I stayed at The Sidings for the year 23/24 and i can honestly say it was enjoyable.

Going into university there is a lot of hesitation around living in halls after hearing horror stories online and from family. However, The Sidings proved my worry’s completely unnecessary.

The accommodation itself felt homely, comfortable and welcoming! Any issues with the accommodation itself were resolved promptly and efficiently. The room i had was well kept, had pleanty of storage, nice views and a nice bathroom. Location wise, it couldn’t have been better; especially during freshers! Having the train station directly outside and a bus stop nearby mean’t it was easy for friends to come and go and for me to make it to places on time pahaha!

The team working in the office were supportive, keen and friendly. They helped to make the transition between home and University a-lot smother for residents and were attentive to those who were struggling. Helping to put support in place; wether that be with your flatmates or just being able to have a chat. Although i personally didn’t struggle with the transition, it was comforting to know there was a supportive team downstairs should i need it.

I’ve made lasting memories at The Sidings and i wish anyone considering this accommodation for Falmouth/Exeter Students as enjoyable a time as i did.

Good, affordable place to stay. It's essentially student accommodation, but if you just need a place to stay for the night while you're exploring around Cornwall then it's fine. Cheap and cheerful. Good location as not too far from main tourist spots if you're driving. The mattress was not comfortable though, we could feel the springs poking through, so something to be aware of.

Lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are a nice size (Had a standard ensuit). Only a short walk to campus and right next to the train station which is nice for travel. Overall amazing 🙂

I stayed here as a Falmouth Student for the 2021/2022 year.

I thoroughly enjoyed this accomodation and never had any issues. The accomodation feels safe as it is the only fully gated one.

The common room is split into a cosy living room and the kitchen - it feels homely and nice which is fantastic for a place to live.

The office staff are lovely, and you can get to know them. Maintenance is quick to have a lool if anything brakes and will sort it out in no time.

The rooms are of perfect sizes, with lots of plugs, heating, and an en-suite.

If I had to live my first year again, I would choose to stay here once more.

My daughter is a1st year student t at the local uni so is based here. Generally the rooms are OK I would say similar to a travelodge room. There are 3 floors to the building my daughter is in. There is a lift however it has been out of service since she moved in in September which made getting all her stuff to her room really hard work 4 flights of stairs. This really needs to be resolved. Visited my daughter this week no change the lift is still not working, this needs to be sorted before she moves out in June as taking all her belongings down to the car will not be fun!

Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful, accommodation is basic but all you need as a student. Great distance from Penryn Campus and very accessible public transport routes. Is on the expensive side compared to other accommodation available in the area, but worth the price if maximum comfort is what you're looking for.

A lovely place to stay during your time at university. Genuinely lovely staff who are active participants in your well-being, always leave you with a smile. Plus a bonus, there's a lovely dog in the office once a week which you can pet; and that's what its all about! 🙂

This is my my home away from home. The Social Media makes me feel like one big family and that I can turn to the staff (Claire the mummabear) for anything. This is a wonderful place to live, I couldn't be luckier! The rooms are big, with en-suites and the kitchens have sofas and TVs! Not only that, they are fully stocked with kettles, toasters, 2 fridges, recycling bin, microwave, bins, hoover and more! I love it here 🙂
