Disgusting school! Headmaster is a LIAR and runs the school like a prison. No talking to children, all he does is shout. Bullying never gets sorted. Any child with any form of disability they cannot handle. My child wore hearing aids and got bullied daily. Teachers don't care. Headmaster is on a power trip, only talks to children who he thinks are academically capable and will become successful. Discrimination against other children. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE, unless you want them coming home every night crying

I heard they're employing a teacher that's allegedly committed SA and that he likes to smoke the old Bob Marley's before school starts.

My child started year 7 September and has so far had a relatively good experience. Yes there have been issues with other children jostling for power and position and yes my child has had 2 lines for silly reasons(not really fair to give a whole class a line because part of the class don't behave when lining up to enter a classroom, not very democratic and in line with British values! ) but for the most part the team at Beacon have been brilliant and supportive although a little slow to act in my opinion.
On the occasions I have had to call in to reception the staff have been fantastic, very receptive and eager to resolve any problems.

This school is an absolute joke! I sent my 2 eldest here as my son has autism and they have a base for children with autism/ADHD. Before they attended we had a tour and was promised so much help, they told my son about all the things they do in the base for kids with autism which all sounded very good. Once they were there it was a different story. They were not willing to make any reasonable adjustments for him which always ended up with arguments between myself and the head teacher with him threatening to suspend my son. In my sons last few weeks of school a teacher physically pushed my son in the corridor, he got sent straight to isolation while she was able to carry on teaching. The head teacher spoke to my son on his own before we got there basically threatening him to change his story or there would be consequences. When my husband got there the head teacher told him there was cctv but we weren’t allowed to see it even with a solicitor. We wanted to take this further but felt bullied. He said if my son didn’t drop the allegations he would be expelled and wouldn’t be able to take his exams. We felt backed into a corner as the same teacher did the same thing to a pupil the year before and she ended up expelled. It’s a disgrace the way they treat the kids there and because of all this I sent my youngest to a different school where we have no problems and she’s doing really well. Please do not send your child here especially if they have special needs.

Bullying doesn't get sorted, the school is run like a prison camp, Headteacher is a LIAR! And 1 year since mine left he still uses a Megaphone to shout at the kids... Glad my kids no longer go there. Lines and isolation given even if a child forgets a ruler. Funny how my kids mental health and learning has improved since leaving here for homeschooling. Now i am hearing that the girls are being checked over regarding what trousers they are wearing and having to remove clothing for teachers to inspect them, This isn't right surely?

Went to the Christmas bash and was made so welcome. Staff worked so hard to put this event together. Fireworks were fantastic. School looks well organised and friendly.

This school are only concerned about attendance. If your child is being bullied, they don’t care, if your child has mental health issues, they don’t care, one of the teachers, specifically mrs Paul, is rude, speaks with an attitude and talks down to parents as if they are children. There are a couple of teachers that are helpful, and aren’t condescending, but majority seem to have a god complex! Avoid this school.

My god, watching this program. I don’t remember kids behaving this bad back in the 90”s, now they have a “label” for everything.
We never had labels for anything, we were just put straight, and we turned out ok.
Kids just got a good hiding when they got home back then.
The way the teachers are stepping on egg shells around them. Epidemic of snowflakes and narcissists.
