I observed a very positive conversation with my brother, who has been suffering debilitating anxiety/depression due to burn out, and a job centre advisor called Jamie. Jamie spoke with kindness and respect throughout. My brother has worked throughout his life and feels a lot of shame with his current position. Jamie spoke about supportive next steps which gave my brother some hope and motivation. It was exactly what my brother needed and I am very grateful to Jamie

Must have met one of the nicest people who works for DWP. If only there were more like him, then people like my client wouldn't suffer with so much anxiety and stress. It doesn't take much, firstly, listen to what the client has to say, when I say listen, I mean actually take note of what you are told..... secondly, don't assume, if you're not sure about what was said, ask for the client to explain what was said....... It's not hard to be polite, and guess what? People may actually be polite in return.

Absolutely horrible experience. I was placed with a workcoach who was very passive aggressive, occasionally downright insulting/rude and offered invasive criticism about my personal life. In addition to the unprofessional comments about me, they had limited IT experience and had to ask me for advice on how to run their computer. I hope they review their behaviour and treat their clients with more respect in the future.
