I brought my 10 year old daughter to get her dyslexic test. Francine was so lovely and welcoming from the start. Made me and my daughter feel at ease within minutes. I then left so then my daughter could do the test (without the added pressure) when I returned francine told me her findings giving me so much information, tips and learning aids I can get. (Which will be put in the repot as there's alot) She also told me all the recommendations she's going to put in the report and how long the report should take. I would highly recommend this lovely knowledgeable lady 1000% thankyou again.

My daughter attended the Centre in August. She was nervous on arrival but was quickly put at ease by Francine’s calm manner before assessment. Everything was explained thoroughly and all our questions were answered. The report took a little longer than normal to receive but there have been Covid related issues which no one seems to have escaped. I was emailed with an explanation as to why there was a slight delay with the Report.
My daughter is much happier now she has been formally diagnosed - she understands why she struggles and is positive that the report and recommendations are the way forward at school. I can certainly see a change in her attitude and confidence with school work already.
I, and more importantly my daughter are really happy with the great service we received.

I contacted Francine after my sons English tutor raised concerns and recommended an assessment for dyslexia. Francine was friendly and approachable from the start and throughout the assessment. My son was instantly put at ease on arrival for his assessment which he was a little nervous about. Post assessment, Francine explained her findings clearly and in laymens terms. The report we subsequently received was very detailed and full of ideas and recommendations for the adults surrounding my son and my son himself so he could take greater ownership over his learning. I'm hopeful that with Francine's recommendations he will be able to increase his confidence and achieve his potential.

Francine was great on the day. However we had to wait longer than expected for our report. It took 12 weeks, which was longer than we wanted. We had to chase to find Francine had been unwell. It would have been nice to be told this as it was only when we chased we heard that the report would be delayed. Emotions run high as part of me wondered if we would get it back. However we have and Francine was very apologetic.

My son is flourishing since he visited Brighouse Dyslexia Centre. I spoke to his teacher at home time that day and explained to him the key points I had been told. The very next day my son was given the opportunity to complete his written work on a laptop and a reading book plan was developed. Before he would be reluctant to go to school and would often shout in the morning, he now goes happily!
