We went to the float session this half term, lots of choice of floats. Was really fun and managed well. Pool was a bit colder than their sister one at Bourne so might not be ok for babies but was fine for my 5 year old

Took the kids to their first family splash session here and had an amazing time.

The wave machine was working and put on several times during the session, which the kids all really enjoyed.

The slide was also running for most of the session, I think my son spent more time on this then actually swimming.

Water temperature was just right, one of few pools where we lasted the full 90mins in the water without wanting to find an excuse to get out.

All of the staff were friendly and felt very safe place to take the kids swimming.

We also found the changing rooms just as good as some of the private gyms visited in the past. Warm showers and overall clean all round.

The kids can't wait to return, definitely worth the visit.

It's a fun pool but quite dirty today. A lot of things floating in the water (plasters, hair, paper)

Changing rooms are not looked after, the floor is absolutely disgusting hair, mud, wee in the corners of the changing cubicle's and general dirt all over the floor. Staff should be monitoring the changing rooms! A quick hose down and a sweep every hour wouldn't hurt anyone. both male and female changing rooms was disgusting. Pool is very cold.

It's a shame that swimming pools don't seem to have recovered from Covid and are still operating a short session for family splash of just one hour, meaning everyone gets into the pool at the same time and everyone gets out (and queues for showers) at the same time. I remember coming to this pool as a child, the wave machine and slide were a real treat. Children have missed out on so much with Covid and continue to do so. One hour sessions at weekends, often over a lunchtime, are just not feasible - particularly for those who travel to Stamford from places like Peterborough, where other swimming pools have closed.

We had a wonderful time! The staff were helpful & the lifeguards we keeping everyone safe too, the pool was the right temperature, there was a slide and some other water features that were really fun! & the price was very reasonable! An hour time slot we got & that's all that you need! Will definitely be making the trip to come here again instead of our local swimming pool!!

We have been coming to Stamford pool for >20 years and have previously had good experiences but were so disappointed with our recent visit for family swimming.
The male and female changing rooms were absolutely filthy, stank of wee, several toilets had been used and not flushed/cleaned, there was what looked like several days worth of grime on the floor and collecting round the drains, 3 out of 5 showers out of order in the ladies, and the whole place was cold, in and out of the water. We had brought a baby and toddler and despite showering them off and dressing them promptly their teeth were chattering throughout. The mats in the baby pen in the changing rooms were absolutely wringing wet on the floor so I could not put my baby in there once he was dressed. The water temp was shown as 29 degrees on the wall but was apparently measured at 4pm (we were there at 3.30) so perhaps not updated for ~ 24 hours and the pool temperature only felt warm enough in one area where the filter outlet was, the shallows of the pool were very cold.
We were also disappointed that the wave machine didn’t run at all during our swim.
Such a shame- we will be going elsewhere next time.
