I’ve had a child at the school for the last 4 years and we have recommended it to a lot of friends with younger children for many reasons. It’s a lovely bright modern building with fantastic facilities and lots of personal development opportunities for everyone. The teachers are enthusiastic and obviously care about the subjects they teach. Students get on well together and UCL offers a lot of support to help students do as well as they want to do. Any problems parents or students have get dealt with well and we feel the school is always improving to make sure parents and students are happy and know what is going on.

I attend the school when it first open on 2012 to 2017 in secondary school, the school back then is so unorganized and some of the teacher were really rude. Another thing to note is that teacher never stop bully or took it srs the no a good way of stopping badly behaved kids it. They receptionist isn't helpful either
. Of course, the school could have gotten better but this is just what I experience with it

This school is corrupt. I went there for 5 years and they let kids with behaviour issues act any way they want towards the staff and the student as well. I am experiencing terrible issues with the school right now, they never deal with bullying. They make very unfair decisions, and students miss out on school because of bullying. I would never recommend taking your child to this school ever, it might be known as a good school because it is new but unfortunately that is not the case.

I Like this school in terms of space and facilities, not to forget the friendly and committed teachers, however, this school must be very strict on dealing with behavioural issues during the learning. This poses a huge concern to parents whose children attend this school to enjoy the learning and more importantly to achieve.
As a parent , my dearest wish is high standards in everything !

would give it 0/5 if i can.
went here for 3 years and they never dealt with any bullying issues, going to school was such a pain and i used to cry every night. there are some problematic kids who treat teachers and fellow students horribly with absolutely no respect at all. DO NOT send your child/children here

Stayed there for 3 weeks. Learnt nothing. Teachers pointlessly strict and detentions handed out on the first day for uniform requirements not specified on the list! Very unclear with emails on events and such. Many detentions for harmless things only on the first week. Don’t waste your time!!!!!

Paninis are good tho

We chose the UCL Academy for our son(year 10) and have been very pleased with the decision. The faculty has done a wonderful job acclimating him and he has been both encouraged and challenged academically. Even during online learning last year, the staff made sure that both parents and students were actively engaged and supported.

I am absolutely disgusted about this school. As many say, the Academy is only given all the hype because it is sponsored by a university. ALL the children who go to this school are chavs, and if your child isn't a chav (which is most) they will turn into one. The teachers are terrible, nothing is organised and if your child is being picked on they will literally do nothing. I left the school in year8 because of the idiotic students who were rude to me that were not only in my learning set, class and side of the year they were in from all around the school and not one teacher could do something about it. Don't get me started on the way students talk to teachers. Eaten alive. Thats all i can say! They do nothing about behaviour, most students are above 20 behaviour points and the only thing they do do is give out reports which even if they come back negative they just say 'thats it your report is extended' Students on report DONT CARE that they are on report so adding another week is not going to do anything at all. The Academy is a poor representation of the University. It is sponsored by one of the worlds leading universities and they can't even hire good teachers? Only ones that go off topic every 5 mins. Curriculum? Absolute rubbish, I am learning way more after i moved schools around a year ago and the worst thing is i actually thought my class was a normal secondary school class! I hated ucl and honestly, it is a really depressing environment. The teachers go on and on about the behaviour points and its sad because if a naughty person is good once they praise them like crazy and give them phone call homes, however when half of the class is doing well the majority of the time they say nothing. If you are naughty once and you are not a usual culprit, don't be surprised if you are shouted at, thrown out (losing education) and basically hung, drawn and quartered( thats whats going to happen when your teacher lies about what happens in the lesson and exaggerates by 1000000x. Now onto the building Yes, sure it is a state of the art building and probably is the best school building in the whole of london but what matters more your childs grades and mental health or the stupid facilities? Thank you so much for reading if you have and i hope i have been able to make you change your mind about sending them here!
