Terrible course. I was disappointed to be accused of cheating during my first unit. Especially as the assessor couldn't tell me why they thought that. Everytime I would email, they wouldn't get back to me. There was a lot of repetition throughout the course. The answers to the assignment questions weren't all covered in the course meaning that you had to teach yourself through other methods. Everything they asked you in the assignment, should have been taught in the course.

I don't think I could have had a worse experience. Work was never marked when it was supposed to have been, not even months later was it marked after I'd followed up on it. Over a year after completing the course and not received my certificate, I sent several complaints in to be told I was never even enrolled properly (despite completing all the work and having it all marked, ergo passing the course) and told the course had now changed so I had to complete further work. Completed the additional questions anyway, despite my annoyance, and even then, had to complain several times before I was sent my certificate out. My partner is currently completing a course and has had no feedback, no work marked or anything and it's been months. The course might be funded by other companies but there is no excuse to deliver this poor quality of service to anybody trying to get additional education. Wouldn't bother doing another course as I don't have the time or patience chasing up on it for months on end. Told my partner not to bother either. He won't be paying for the course if unfinished because the company hasn't delivered any level of service that was promised upon signing up for the course.

I’ve applied, enrolled and finished the course without any issues. My tutor was always on time with her feedback and there was a lot of work, but it was achievable and all necessary literature was provided.

Would recommend finding a different course provider, they’re really difficult to get through to. Never sent me on an interview even though it’s part of the course requirements after passing. Overall regret the course seemed like a waste of time also you don’t get a certificate for completing and passing the course.

the course is advertised to be fully funded government course (Counselling skills - Level 2) - however, there are ‘hidden fees’ - I was then threatened with legal action for not paying - despite upon enrolment being notified if was a ‘free’ and ‘fully funded’ course - avoid

Agree with all comments below. I have almost finished the Counselling Skills level 2.
1. Extremely poor quality platform.
2. Very poor quality content, giving only a superficial level info.
3. Assessment questions either ask for basic level questions where you need to re-type content of some slides, alternating with questions that ask for your personal examples, without giving any examples prior in the material.
4. I did get (after a while) in touch with the tutor, but the tutor (with a beautiful accent) was either re-reading the question to me (instead of explaining it), or when I asked for examples of what they want as an answer, gave examples that were not in the material at all. When I asked where in the content I can find what you said was expected- she said that the notes don't cover it, but the course is simple and I am expected to do my research myself to include in the answers things from outside of the course - but on a very superficial level.

The course expects you already do the job. It gives you a lick of theory behind the job, but as a theoretical list. No exercises how to improve the skills, no example what "good" skill would look like, only a list. The expectation is that you will do your own research and study, to fill (YOURSELF) the gaps you do not have, and then they ask you a question of "what did you learn" and expect you to use your own research and already know the topic on a much higher level than the level 2 and this is just a CPD refresher if you're coming back to the profession after 10year gap.

If you are hoping that the course will explain the skills, and have some training in there for you- forget it. As advised in other reviews- you are better off finding the information yourself and not having to put up with any silly assessment requirements. It gives you NO knowledge or practice. Nowhere near what I was hoping for and very disappointing experience for me, being a teacher myself.

They will drag you through it, as they want you to pass, but don't expect support or knowledge.

In my case, I have been called (from different telephone numbers) to check why I was late with the assessment, but in terms of support as such.

I honestly feel like 1 star is too generous for this company. I applied for a course with them then literally heard nothing so rang to find out whats happening with my application. I was told it was a very popular course and that id have to wait, ok about how long? We cant say, it changes. I understand but a general guild, would it be weeks or months. No idea. Ok where am i in the queue at least. Thats too difficult to answer. Oh you're acting like you've never been asked this question! No people ask it everyday.
Ive never dealt with such a chaotic company, if you're asked the same question everyday and your company is dependent on providing the answer, have a way of answering it.
The course was digital marketing. Skills, no point getting the clients if you then do nothing to retain them. Understand people cant just wait for a course with no actual idea when if ever its going to happen, especially businesses.

The tutor was good at supporting outside of the online learning hours and that is the only good thing I have to say about the skills network all 3 stars are for the tutor and nothing else. There's minimal career support after and they fail to mention that unless you secure an interview and the company you interview with manage to find time to mess around emailing the skills network to confirm the interview they keep hold of your certificate. Basically if you don't manage to get an interview then all of the hard work you put into the course is for nothing
