Spent 4hr here wandering around the gardens and farm. Dog friendly.. Photo opportunities galore.. Lovely location, not too far away from the old post-office cottage where we stayed. Gardens well kept and lots of little paths to follow, be sure to walk the lake path, situated on the outskirts of the house, the path loops the water.. On site toilets and cafe with play area. . Farm was well kept, animals enclosures were clean (except the pig ?) and they looked well fed. Behind the house is a acquestrian center with a show ring for dressage, that were good to watch. Down the side road are fields with horses, sheep and cattle, which also made a lovely walk back to lower Bockhampton..

Lovely gardens though a little run down now into October. Agricultural/Animal college on site so lovely section of animals for children to admire. So worth a visit for free,coffeehouse on site ,what's not to like!!

Co. Aimed hardly a drop..
It was his prize winning Bull.
Never got over it
Junction hotel market day
Every Wednesdays..

Smells were adorable...
Couldn't beat it.
Dorset is farming country
And I'm proyd too say
I've inherited their love of animals..

Highly recommend Kingston Maurward for any kind of event or ceremony. Venue is absolutely beautiful and you can hire individual rooms or the building as a whole. Hannah, Polly and the whole team kindly helped to organise a 'Celebration of Life' wake service for our Mum and were professional, courteous and kind throughout but most importantly well organised! A truly special day and we cannot thank or recommend them enough.
