Don't go here if you have any additional needs they won't be met. I have teachers who teach us all about policies and how to follow them properly yet the college can't seem to even follow there own. Weymouth college is not inclusive and supposed support that's apparently always available never is. Trust me this college is not worth anyone's time or mental health.

Weymouth College provides masses of opportunities to people of various ages, in an environment that is safe, makes students feel accepted, and does not shut down their thoughts and opportunities. It has phenomenal resources to support students and help them thrive, and great services to ensure their time after college goes smoothly. The resources, equipment, teacher enthusiasm, is impeccable.

However. The overall management of courses at Weymouth College is shocking. My teacher had to run 5 classes on her own, with no support from the head of department, no support from the rest of the college, of whom were often making her life harder. This is not just a one time issue, this has happened with many different teachers and students over various departments. Teachers are not supported enough, don't receive enough help, time, and resources. The college doesn't give teachers time to breathe at all, which means courses go completely south and some become completely disorganised and chaotic. My teacher had to leave for 2 months due to stress, and during that period the supply teachers and lectures we received taught us nothing, causing masses of issues that carried on until we finished college a year later. In addition, the workload given to several courses was absolutely unmanageable for those who had to work several days a week in jobs, which was not declared before we started the course.

Weymouth College is a great place of education that provides opportunities, support, and comfort to all students of all backgrounds. However its general management of the courses itself that it offers; is terrible.

Went to the Weymouth model railway exhibition, plenty of exhibits and trader's there. Food was available and there was ample car parking. Two day exhibition opening at 1000. Entry cost £7.

Studied evening part time (acoustic) guitar introduction/intermediate. Tremendously knowledgeable and helpful tutor, really enjoyed it but found the latter stages a bit challenging for my arthritic fingers. Most students progressed very well. Wish they still did electric guitar sessions.

Great food, great setting. Unusual in that all is prepared and served by the students. Mark Hix's food faithfully reproduced.
It's a bit like a pop-up that keeps giving.
Visit for a meal, you will not be disappointed.

I can barely put into words how much this college helped me. At age 42 I was trudging along in a career I no longer found fulfilling. I enrolled on the stonemasony course and finally felt like I'd found my "calling" whatever that means. It's now 2 years since graduation and I've never been happier. I have been working as a professional gargoyle carver, restoring old stone work and cleaning gutterings.
