I first came across Wriggly Readers whilst running a Childcare business several years ago. After review, we adopted the first of the Reading Adventures to help with reading and learning skills for our children. We were impressed with the interactive approach taken by these packages as well as the quality of the provided materials. The staff/teacher guides were a welcome addition in allowing staff to quickly get to grips with the teaching methods. Since that time the earlier employed concepts have been further developed by its inventor (& teacher) Hanna Angrave. There is now a structured 12 week programme covering six reading adventures. The materials are again of superb quality and the use of puppets and picture books to assist with story telling makes everything work so very well indeed. The additional materials for the ‘teacher’ to run the ‘reading’ programme make everything as easy as possible. There are additional resources and help online for members of Wriggly Readers “Club”. If you want a quality, easy to use programme to help your children develop their reading skills whilst having immense fun, then look no further.

Wriggly Readers is by far one of the best phonics programmes around. We have been using it at St Antony's for a number of years now. It is a fun interactive way of learning and
the storybooks and puppets make an excellent addition to the learning process. The children really look forward to their sessions and have so much fun they don't realise they are actually learning. We have had children jump up 2 book bands after just one full programme. The stories are interesting and engaging and the games that accompany the 6 different levels are very entertaining. I highly recommend Wriggly Readers for all those struggling readers.

This intervention programme certainly stands out from the rest. The resources were of such high quality and each adventure was so clearly explained and easy to use. I was astounded by not only the rapid progress the children made, but also the fact that even the most reluctant readers in my class were asking when it was time for their Wriggly Reader session each day! It was an absolute pleasure to see the children so engaged with their reading. Thank you Hannah for your support and guidance in using the programme. My only regret/qualm is that I didn't start using it sooner!
