I’ve been training with Sam Read in person since 2014 as well as online since early 2020. My approach and attitude toward fitness have changed radically. I used to consider exercise a chore butt thanks to Sam’s encouragement and commitment to continuous improvement, I look forward to training. I am fitter and stronger than ever, and both physically and mentally healthier.
Sam is a personal trainer in the purest sense: he addresses each client’s situation individually, accounting for injuries,health conditions and ability, and tailors every session to the client’s mood and energy level. He views education and update of his skills as part of his job, and applies his research and experience to his clients’ training repertoire. He is also smart, perceptive and caring and a good listener.

Sam was a huge help in the preparation, delivery and post support for my recent 100 mile bike ride. He was even there at the finish line to warm me down. Very personable, very knowledgeable, and the best trainer I’ve used in 15 years of training. Couldn’t recommend more

Sheida is a great personal trainer, both in person and on zoom. She is encouraging but still knows how and when to push. She brings me right to my edge of capability and shows me I can do more than I think I can. She is also great at mixing up our workouts so I don't get bored. I highly recommend her.

I trained with Andy for many years and only stopped as I had to leave the country.

Very professional. Patient but demanding. Always prepared, with sessions specifically tailored for my needs. Fun to train with.

I always suffered from lower back pain and when we started I was struggling to walk more than a couple of hundred yards without resting. After a few years I was running marathons and lifting quite a lot of weight.

The joy of some moments will stay with me. When you stare at a heavy bar, chalk in your hands, tired and sweaty, thinking "I am never going to lift that thing" ...and the quiet satisfaction in the changing room later when you'll catch yourself thinking about your next personal best...

I trained 3/4 times a week for a long time and it was often the highlight of my day. Before Andy I trained with four other people and it was just not the same.

If you are like I was, you may feel you really need to change something to be ok with yourself, but don't particularly like going to the gym. Give it go and train consistently for a few months. Let Andy do the thinking for you and just give everything you have in each session. Then assess and decide.

I had recurring pain in my shoulder that was starting to migrate up my neck. Nothing seemed to work until I saw Sam for help with the issue. The magic of soft tissue massage provided immediate relief from the pain, and through both a programme of massage and movement I was back to pain free and dangling from trees in no time. Issues or not, I highly recommend Sam to get yourself in excellent and long lasting shape.
