This was the best course I've ever done, of any kind. Both Jules and Darren were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and approachable; they each brought their own style and perspective to the course content and ensured that all of us taking part were constantly learning. The pacing of delivery was perfect, with a constant mix of challenge and consolidation, and all three weekends taught us something new. A fantastic experience all round. I would recommend Adventure Unlimited to anyone considering the ML course!

PSA for all future women attending a course with this company.

I unfortunately have to give my experience with The Adventure Unlimited a negative review.
As a stunt trainee, I am very familiar with sexism and misogyny because of so many sports being male dominated, therefore sometimes there is a degree to which you have to adapt to be ‘one of the boys’. Over the course of the weekend I experienced a range of derogatory comments being made towards me, being treated noticeably different to the other participant (a male) and being laughed at by the course instructor. I am not hugely sensitive and often laugh at myself, but when I have paid money to go on a course in order to improve my abilities and learn, I am not under the impression that my instructor should laugh at me and make other comments. I don’t understand how anyone is supposed to learn, better themselves and build confidence when there is such a negative trainer present. It made me feel intimated, insecure and nervous.

Luckily because of the profession i’m in I can handle it, however I should not have to and it worries me that another young woman may be very affected by this, and even put her off climbing forever. The course runners haven't contacted me despite letting them know of my experience.

The scenery was incredible I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to do my RIC, and the fellow trainee was very kind and a pleasure to be with.
