My experience with Arden University so far has been deeply disappointing. It became clear early on that their primary focus is not on providing quality education or supporting students, but rather on securing tuition payments through student loans. This attitude undermines the trust and confidence that students place in their institution when pursuing higher education.

The teaching standards leave much to be desired. It feels as though the teaching aspect is treated as an afterthought rather than a priority. This is particularly disheartening when students are expected to take their studies seriously but don’t receive the same level of commitment from the university.

Communication is another major issue. Emails are routinely ignored, and it can take weeks, if not months to get a response to even the simplest queries. Whether it’s about academic support, administrative issues, or general guidance, the lack of responsiveness creates immense frustration and leaves students feeling abandoned.

It’s evident that Arden’s main priority is chasing student loan payments rather than ensuring the academic or professional success of its students. The entire experience feels transactional rather than transformative, which is a disservice to anyone hoping to gain meaningful education.

I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Arden University to anyone looking for a supportive and enriching academic environment. Significant improvements in communication, teaching quality, and student care are urgently needed.

I'm a current Arden Uni student studying a MSc in Psychology. I'm from the US and currently based in the US. Arden has been amazing for me as a working adult who travels quite a bit. Help is readily available when I need it, but otherwise I am free to take charge of my deadlines.

I did a master's (on campus) in Ireland several years ago and it's similar to the UK -- your studies are largely independent and you need to be accountable for studying even if there's only one graded assessment throughout the entire class. It was an adjustment from US universities because I wasn't used to making my own deadlines and having so few graded assignments. This style of learning will work for some and not others.

Arden markets itself as a sort of non-traditional university so if you need a lot of hand-holding or oversight, it's probably not the right choice for you. I've found the quality of teaching to be very high, my lecturers have all be super approachable, nice, and very responsive, and the amount of resources I have access to as a student are amazing. You have to be a motivated student with your own goals to succeed. I went to a traditional university setting for undergraduate and that was the right choice because online education does take a lot of time management and discipline.

Overall, I would recommend Arden to serious students who can stand on their own two feet but nevertheless want a supportive safety net to fall back on through the lecturers and staff. I'm really enjoying my program and would attend Arden again given the choice!

Overall, my time at Arden University was incredibly rewarding, and I feel well-prepared to advance in my career. I highly recommend Arden University to anyone looking for a reputable and flexible MBA program that offers both academic rigor and practical application.

This university will miss sell you onto a Distance learning MSc. Avoid!

1.I was told by the head of the HR school that I would receive CMI membership. I am 18 months through my course and I still don't have this.
2. Lecturers and supervisors are rarely available out of their 8-5 working day so it's very difficult to get support and guidance if you work similar hours and are unable to use your time at work to meet with them.
3. Course assignments are poorly designed and communicated. Assignments will change and course learning materials will not, leading to confusion and lack of clarity. When you raise a complaint about this they will not uphold your complaint but will change the assignment for the next cohort. They will not admit their mistakes and that assignments are poorly designed and not conducive to students achieving the results they desire.
4. They will not include the cost of the Dissertation into the financial information given as you sign up. You will have an unexpected bill just as you feel you are finally nearing the end of the course and will have to beg and borrow to cover the costs.
5. You will get monthly emails reminding you about overdue payments which are incorrect. Do not pay them without checking.

Surely this place is just a scam?

Arden is a great university! They are very supportive and inclusive. The lectures are willing to push you and offer one-to-one sessions to ensure you are on track. They also offer a lot of opportunities and extracurricular activities to prepare you for your future career. Thank you Arden, it was a pleasure!

I really tried not to write this review, giving them so many chances for any customer service... But none, so here it is...

Have just finished my Bachelors Degree with Arden, the school work was very hands off and you had to research everything your self which for me, is fine.

However when starting and during the courses they would constantly pressure and reach out to me via phone and email for money. Though whenever i needed to contact them, they take months to reply or not even answer at all.

I have been trying to sign up for the MSc course which they lost the application 3 times, which I had to constantly fill out. They do not answer phones at all on the application lines (tried every 2nd day for 1 month), only line that answers is student support which doesnt know what to do as they are in a different department. Receive an email back from the staff member 1 and a half months later (Abdelrahman Ahmed) who lost the application 3 times saying that the course is now full and to try again in January..

With no guarantee on help for that intake...

For a school that teaches business and the importance of customer satisfaction & retention, they really dont know what they are doing. Maybe I should enroll them in one of their courses? oh wait, they cannot contact the admissions team..

I had applied for the Bachelors in Computing with Foundation Year program for the September intake, but unfortunately, my visa was rejected on August 1st.
Upon the guidance of my student advisor, Babafemi, I completed the refund form and submitted it along with a copy of my visa rejection letter on 1st Aug. However, its been 3 months I have not received any acknowledgment or response regarding the status of my refund.

I’m currently in my second year at Arden University, studying online, and it’s been a great experience so far. The support from the university has been fantastic, making remote learning smooth and engaging. I’m excited about what the future holds, both for myself and for Arden. It feels like a place where big things are possible! ***
