Well … if you want to have a walk half way and return to your car thats for you… if you want to walk round you will be disappointed! A lot of muddy areas today but still a good walk. Fishing- very few spots you can actually set up. After 4miles walk I’ve seen only 3 spots and far away from parking. Apparently a lot of nice pike is in the lake. Nothing to do much there - good for water sports I guess and walks if you like to return same way. No fishing from boats allowed. ?

Booked an hour single kayak hire for me and my friend. We initially booked in for 2pm but couldn't attend at that time because of an issue so we called them and they happily rescheduled us to our desired time without extra charge. The experience itself was so nice as we had the whole reservoir to ourselves in the evening. It's tucked away in a very beautiful and serene setting. Everything was straightforward and the staff was nice. Would definitely go back?

Lots of don't. Cannot swim, cannot sunbathe on the beach, cannot access the beach and cannot launch your own raft without paying £10 and wearing a life jacket. So, it's not really a fun experience if you like freedom and nature. For anyone else is the perfect spot. You can rent (at high price) kayaks and sups but book on advance.

We had a great time at Ardingly Activity Centre. The reservoir is quite big, we had loads area to explore. The view around the reservoir is great. People at the centre are really friendly and helpful!

Took my children aged 14, 10 and 4. I was in the double kayak with the youngest and the other 2 had singles. Even though it was a rainy day my children enjoyed the freedom of being out on the water and have asked to definitely go back again! Happy all round.

Lovely location for messing about on the water. The facilities are good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The little cafe is a bonus with picnic tables.

A tranquil and remote beauty spot, very clean and extremely well kept. Great paths for those long walks with the family & the dog(s).
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
