These classes have reinvigorated my love of making art. During my tumultuous teenage years, I often found comfort in painting and drawing, but as I got older, life got in the way. Having not picked up a paintbrush in 25 years, I was lucky enough to have been gifted the Adult Drawing and Painting course last year, and since then I’ve been hooked and my confidence has grown. Maddie has the rare combination of patience and enthusiasm with all of her students. There is a real mix of abilities, but everyone gets the appropriate support and encouragement. Highly recommended!

I started these classes over a year ago as a complete beginner and have developed so many skills that have transformed my life. Maddie is a great teacher and gave me the knowledge, space and guidance to create the kind of art that worked for me. I also love that you get to learn techniques from other artists in the class. This class has been amazing for my 7-yr old. He's been going to Rebecca's weekday classes for almost a year now, and looks forward to every single session. His creativity has gone through the roof and surely this is because Rebecca has always fostered an environment where his imagination can run wild. He's learned so many skills across a range of mediums and is always excited to show-off his works of art and replicate them at home!

I can't say enough about this incredible art class and the fantastic teachers! I started as a complete beginner with no idea how to even hold a paintbrush, and now I've transformed my skills! I’ve learned how to draw, understand proportions when sketching, and master shading and painting techniques. Each class is a captivating experience, and it’s exciting to discover a new painter every week.

The community is so welcoming, making it a perfect space for everyone, regardless of their skill level. One of the highlights of the year is an amazing exhibition where we all get to showcase our artwork. I was absolutely thrilled to see my pieces displayed alongside so many talented artists!

Maddie, our teacher, is nothing short of wonderful—passionate, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. All the teachers are talented and so eager to help us grow. What I appreciate most is the flexibility of class timing, accommodating both day and evening schedules—great for everyone’s busy lives!

If you’re looking to unleash your creativity, learn to draw and paint, and have an absolute blast while doing it, I wholeheartedly recommend this class! You won't regret it !

If you’re considering signing up to art CLASS London, go for it! I ended up signing up for a 2nd and 3rd term with Maddie who’s everything you could wish for in an art tutor. Maddie clearly explains and shows the theme for the class (lots of variety and creativity involved). On the one hand she lets you get on with your thing, but on the other, is always there to nudge you in the right direction when you need it. A bonus is the flexibility with attending an alternative class if you can’t make it at the usual time.

I highly recommend Art Class London. I have been going to Dubravka’s art class in Hornsey for over 10 years. I began as an absolute beginner and made enough progress to complete an Art Foundation Diploma. She introduces new techniques and ideas , pushes and encourages us to improve all the time. The other students are lovely and encouraging. There is always constructive feedback at every session. It’s a class to look forward to . Dubravka pushes and encourages us to work towards exhibitions. All materials are generously provided. She also tries hard to be flexible when we can’t make class, and when possible allows us to catch up. Thoroughly recommend Art Class London.

I started this term with the beginner/ intermediate class. The class is lovely, relaxed and mixed ability. Maddy is an excellent teacher and also so encouraging and positive. The design of the lessons gives you a broad understanding of different styles and mediums. There is always tea and biscuits and great music. It is a glorious way to spend two hours. Credit to art class for providing an excellent class and credit to Maddy for being a brilliant teacher! Cant reccommend highly enough

Brilliant classes with Maddie at a wonderful studio . Maddie is patient , funny - a hoot, and extremely kind and full of encouragement, drawing out the artists in all of us. Love her mini lectures about artists at the beginning of our sessions which set the themes for the sessions. Still alot to learn and more , however looking forward to the next term!!
