This was just a one night stay. We booked direct and were able to access our rooms early. We had our old dog with us and we were given a ground floor room in the annexe building about a 2 minute walk from the main hotel. The room was excellent and would have slept three people comfortably. Room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. There are extensive grounds to walk the dog and also plenty of doggie bins dotted around. We dined in the hotel. There were two groups booked in and so because of the dog we were given a table in the bar. The menu was small but excellent with a couple of vegetarian and vegan options. Breakfast was included in our price with a lot of continental cold items plus a full English breakfast. The staff were excellent and did all they could do to make our stay enjoyable. A good experience!

Well deserved 5 stars for afternoon tea with champagne. Everything was fresh and delicious the young men serving us were attentative, smart and polite. Unable to rate rooms as didn't stop over but all the reception rooms were clean, well maintained and the decor was beautiful in keeping with it's age.

Had an enjoyable overnight stay after attending a wedding here. Was delighted to find that I had my room upgraded to a suite when I arrived. I was in room 2 in the main building. However, I'm unsure as to why it would be called a suite as it was just an en-suite hotel room with no extras as far as I could see. Room was clean and very well maintained despite this being a traditional hotel room, in keeping with the age of the building. It was also very comfortable. The building was lovely and only minus point here was that one of the corridors on the way to my daughter's room was cold and smelt strongly fishy (as it did when you were outside that part of the building). The staff were very polite and there was always somebody on hand to see to our needs. Breakfast was good (but then I only had cereal and toast), though the cooked option looked nice. Our one disappointment was the fact that we were told there were no mushrooms, and after we had placed our order. As I only wanted a light breakfast of poached egg and mushrooms, I decided not to bother with a cooked breakfast at all. I would recommend this hotel overall.

My partner & I recently got married at Bagden Hall Hotel and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. The staff were fantastic & did so much for us to make us feel looked after & special all day & night as well as the following day too. We didn't have anything to worry about it was all sorted for us which was perfect. The venue is beautiful & the room are huge with such comfortable beds. Lots of places inside & outside for wedding photos. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how wonderful the whole venue was. Thank you again to all the staff ❤️

Had such a wonderful and romantic stay over the Valentine's weekend.
A very warm and friendly service from arriving at reception, breakfast and dinner service and at the bar.
The grounds and main hotel are beautiful and very well maintained.
The rooms we stayed in were the lakeside view away from the main hotel, wich was comfortable and very clean with a bath and shower. Had what we needed for a 2 night stay.
The meals we had were excellent both days and they offered vegetarian and vegan options.
Would highly recommend.

We have just spent Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day with our dog at Bagden Hall and it was superb! From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by all the staff and their excellence continued until the moment we left. Our room was clean, warm and extremely comfortable and this reflected the rest of the hotel. The food was lovely with a good choice and our dog was served sausages for breakfast and a Christmas dinner! The setting is first class, in acres of woodland, plenty of walks for the dog and to burn off a few calories....
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending and we have booked for next year....

This was our very first visit to Bagden Hall. We felt that we were made very welcome, including our little dog, who was very pleased with her complimentary packet of doggy treats. The extensive hotel grounds were very useful for dog walking.. We enjoyed the food that we had whilst at the hotel. We did wonder if the menu varied from week to week. If not it could become a little repetitive after a while. I should have asked about that, but didn't. The hotel is in very good condition and the rooms are clean and tidy.

My husband booked it for a special Valentines surprise. Beautiful setting and grounds. The weather was a bit dismal for our stay so we are going to come back when the weather improves.
The food was delicious and nothing was to much trouble. Staff were all very pleasant, polite and smartly dressed. We would definitely recommend Bagden Hall Hotel
