Banks Mill is always an interesting place to visit on its open days. The building is an artist incubator with a wide variety of independent artists working under the same roof. There are usually bargains, inspiration and the opportunity to talk to artists about their work in equal measure.

Lovely studios and building. Would love to have a studio there myself, but due to.it being a listed building, no lift! This means you cannot be visited at all by a disabled person or anyone that can't use stairs. The top floor is a trek for the able bodied. I'm a photographer so this potentially could be a big issue for these clients and parents with babies and children that I might want to take photos of. Not sure there is a way around this, but it's a pretty big issue. With lift, 5 stars!

Loved the open evening. Great opportunity to see new art and meet the artists. A repurposed industrial unit does make it difficult to move around in if you have mobility issues
