Be Military Fit Hampstead Heath - London

I went for a trial class in early August while on a business trip to London and really enjoyed my session, led by the cheerful but infatigable Trainer Shelly. The location at Parliament Hill is expansive and great for the type of workout BMF is advocating: HIIT with a lot of running. I was introduced the relentless sets of functional exercises you do with a partner along with running in tandem with your partner and a sandbag, which lasted about an hour. But don't be put off by the "intensity" of the workout. Newcomers are introduced to the bib system (you get assigned a bib depending the your level of fitness and fitness goals) and are paired up with a partner of the same coloured bib so that you exercise in lock-step at the correct pace. I fully recommend BMF and particularly the Hampstead set to anyone in the area or visiting to get a good sweat out, as the trainer and the community were very welcoming and the location is excellent (just beware you don't lie down in some dog poop when you do your situps). Looking forward to re-joining for a session when I'm back in that necks of the woods again! Thank you.

Erik is a fantastic instructor. He gently pushes everyone just beyond what they think they are capable of. He’s friendly, welcoming and organised. Thoroughly enjoyed my session. Highly recommended .

The most welcoming and supportive group who made the entire workout 10/10. Eric and Shelley motivated us right from the start and checked on us all throughout. No one was ever left behind and it felt like a real team effort. I loved every minute and can’t wait to be back visiting again!

I joined in 2009 and love it. Being outside on the heath is fabulous, whether it’s hot, cold or rainy it’s a great way to keep fit. There’s nothing better than exercising while laughing. Eric ,Shelly and Luke are excellent instructors, always supportive, encouraging and getting you to push yourself that little bit extra. I have made many good friends here. I even organise my personal calendar around the classes.

Highly recommend this sociable training that gave me all round fitness over the 2 years . The classes are varied and all levels can improve . Take that first step and you will be motivated for sure by the trainers , BMF’ers and the great outdoors. Hopefully will return to enjoy again.

I’ve been coming to BMF for 15 years! Nothing beats working out outdoors especially in Hampstead Heath, which is one of the loveliest open spaces in London. Exercising in a group is motivational and fun. Eric & Shelley make sure that every class is different, & work us hard . Whether you want to improve your fitness or get stronger, or both, BMF can do it. Over the years, I’ve made some very good friends as well, so it has really enhanced my life in more ways than one. Phenomenal experience, one of the most challenging and rewarding boot camps I’ve taken to date. The location also sets the scene for a great workout

I started bmf in 2016 on a New Years resolution and have stuck to it ever since. Even in the dark winter months Eric and Shelly make the class fun and enjoyable and my fitness has improved immensely. Even through moving house my main criteria has been distance to the park. Thank you Eric !!
