Ben was recommended to me by a friend in my triathlon club, I had seen their performance improve dramatically over a period of a couple of months since they had been coached. I had already signed up to do the Lakesman 70.3 triathlon, my first half Ironman distance and I felt I wasn’t doing the correct amount of structured training to give the event my best shot so I contacted Ben. I met up with Ben and discussed my goals and started a 4 month plan immediately, the plan was full on but the improvements came relatively quickly beating previous PBs in Duathlons, 10K races, Strava segments and Parkruns; I was swimming and running considerably further than I had ever done before.
Ben understands you have a life outside of training but if you stick to the plan to the best of your abilities you will see the gains; over the length of the training plan I have gotten faster, fitter, stronger and in the process I’ve lost just over 5 kgs which was an unexpected bonus; the transformation has been amazing and I feel more confident in myself.
It’s not just fitness coaching that Ben offers there is access to nutrition, wellbeing coaching amongst other things and the ‘Alpha’ online community Ben has built up is very supportive and encouraging. I would definitively recommend Ben and after smashing the Lakesman I am having a little break but I will be back on the programme. Thanks Ben for getting me over the line.

I can not be more grateful for the support and guidance provided by Ben.
I started the plan unmotivated, 8kgs heavier, and not being able to run for longer than 30 seconds without wanting to stop and give up! I can now complete 5k in under 30 minutes, which is a massive achievement for me.
My fitness has improved dramatically in the 12 weeks I have trained with Ben, and I now feel equipped to be able to train properly in the gym but I know exactly where I can come to for support should I need it!

I started working with Ben because I needed accountability to train for this summer's Race for Life 5k and I also wanted to avoid injury. I have loved the structure of Ben's program which was something else my training in the past has lacked. Initially I signed up for 3 months and then signed up for another 6 afterwards, showing I was willing to work hard and wanted to work towards long term goals.

I signed up to Ben's program 18 months ago after seeing a friend's fitness improved massively who was already on his program. So within the 18 months my fitness has gone to another level qualifying for the GB age group team in triathlons and setting some new pb's along the way. I found Ben got me to train smarter not harder introducing a better diet and more structured gym workouts along with my daily workouts (Run, swim, bike) to get me to the fittest and quickest I've ever been.

I contacted Ben as I’d lost motivation, gained weight and felt in a rut. Ben was great from the outset, asked me what my wishes were and listened to me. We made a plan around my lifestyle that worked for me and with this I gained motivation, felt better and lost those extra lbs too. Ben is always there at the end of a message and regular check ins keep you on track. If you are looking to increase your fitness, work towards an event or lose a few lbs and find yourself again I would totally recommend dropping Ben a message.

I reached out to Ben Hale coaching (Nov22) after attempting a few Sprint Triathlons that same summer. Having no previous experience in Swimming, Running and a little social Cycling, I knew I needed help as one of these Triathlons turned into a physical nightmare. Speaking to Ben, agreeing what I wanted to achieve, and having a structured training plan has been inspirational, giving me a more positive, confident, & stronger outlook which has seen me go from strength to strength. In 9 months I have completed 11 race events smashing 5k and 10k running PB's, increased my cycling wattage 90w to 165w, Swimming from 400m to 2000m. This has been coupled with a changing mindset where weekly team calls with Ben have been a way of learning from him and others, sharing our progress, giving support and motivation to each other and changing habits with nutrition, and hydration. They say age is only a number, and it is, I started this journey at 57yo, and i am looking to do my first Olympic Triathlon (July 23) and my first Ironman (June 24)

I started doing Ben’s fitness classes through lockdown 1 to keep active due to gyms being closed. I was already very active but knew certain things were stopping me from improving, (mainly strength trainings needed diet). After having a few post-class discussions I decided to join Ben’s Alpha plan.
Ben listened to what I wanted to achieve and drafted a plan which took involved a full exercise program and nutritional advice which helped me work towards my goals.
Ben’s plan was a lifestyle change for me as through the many conversations we had he understood what the biggest blockers to my aims were and helped me change my habits to achieve those and push on from there.
I would definitely recommend Ben to anyone looking to achieve a healthier lifestyle or to push themselves further and I’m still continuing with his classes delivered via Zoom over a year later.

After working with Ben for twelve months I genuinely can’t think of a negative thing to say about the experience.
I lacked structure and confidence in my training so contacted Ben to see what could be done. Fast forward twelve months and I feel great physically and mentally. I have smashed my 5k, 10k and half marathon PBs and know that there’s more to come.
Not only have I learnt so much about nutrition and training, I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone to make the best version of myself. This is down to Bens great coaching style and passion to help people achieve their goals.
