Lovely stay, really helpful, attentive staff. Problems sorted out swiftly. Lovely spa with good facilities such as sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Beautiful grounds with lots of scenic walks. Delicious food with plenty of opinions such as fruit or a cooked breakfast. We felt well catered to....The decor could do with an update as it's a bit dated. The soundproofing in the rooms could have been improved as we could hear other guests in their rooms and the beds were a bit hard for me.... otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

An excellent stay at a very nice hotel. Very quiet and easy parking. Our room was fine, plenty of room, two comfy chairs. Shower was great, powerful and lots of hot water. Very small issue, we couldn't get soap out of dispenser in shower, the top seemed jammed. Not a problem as I had our own shower gel. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, freshly cooked. All staff were lovely. Totally recommend this hotel

Location wise, this hotel can’t be faulted. The golf courses provide excellent vistas. |Our room was adequate, if a bit dated and not particularly well equipped, but it was comfortable enough. |When you enter reception, it feels like a clubhouse rather than a hotel. A clubhouse that needs attention as it seems rather tired and old fashioned, but this didn’t have a negative impact on our stay. |What did have an impact though and what really lets this place down is the bar and restaurant area. Whilst the food menu is ok at first glance, the execution of some of the dishes is shocking, resulting in food that is tasteless and at times barely edible. Breakfast is better, but the replenishment of hot buffet dishes was hit and miss. |As far as the bar is concerned, improve your wine offerings please. |Finally with respect to the restaurant, some of the staff are pretty much clueless. Tables left uncleared for ages, orders forgotten, and unbelievably slow service. |All in all, unless you are using the golf facility, I would save your money and choose somewhere else to stay.

The hotel is indeed of some serious loving. The building has such potential but the second you walk in the main door it’s like an old people’s home/hospital waiting area. ||The bedrooms are bare and just look depressing and tired. We UPGRADED to a “golf view” room. The view was the practice putting green, so was woken up by the early morning golfers getting practice in. And to be honest. It was hardly a view and definitely not worth the upgrade. ||The “spa” was ok. Sauna and steam room was fine but the pool was pretty cold and the hot tub had a yellow tinge to it plus a very odd smell coming from it🤷🏽‍♂️ the male changing rooms were hideous. The stench of urine and just dirty floors were disgusting. Very glad I had my sliders with me! ( see attached photos)||Food was not great. Had 3 courses and breakfast. Cannot fault my starter and the desert was okay too. But I had belly pork for my main… the fat on top was like a dogs chew toy instead of being crispy. The pork itself was extremely dry. They say it comes with a cider jue- this was poured over my chips and turnt them into a soggy mess as the jue was like water. Breakfast really wasn’t great ether. Bacon was hard and flavourless and sausages were not good ether. Hash brown was the only nice thing we had. ||One thing I will say is cannot fault the staff. They were great and very friendly. It’s just a shame on the hotel it’s self and how it is that lets it down. I could not see my self returning unless it is majorly refreshed and modernised.

Had a lovely 1 night stay with food and spa treatment, Juliet in the restaurant/bar simply couldn’t do enough for us, would go back just to see her!
Had a superb massage by Michelle in the spa and would definitely recommend, lovely short very relaxing break

We were gifted a twilight spa voucher (5-8pm slot). Upon arriving at 5.15pm the spa was chaos, kids running around everywhere. We were advised that the kids would be leaving the pool at 5.30pm which they did. The changing rooms were messy with towels everywhere on the floors in both the ladies and men's, and they were very dirty in the toilets and shower areas. We then entered the spa, and all of the beds were drenched, as well as the floors and the spa area was unclean. There was teenagers bombing in the pool, a man eating in the sauna. We left after a short 30 minutes. Not a relaxing atmosphere at all. Also to mention, there was three members of staff sat behind the reception desk, whom didn't enter the spa or changing rooms during our visit to clean up. It seems poorly managed and maintained. I think calling it a spa is a stretch! We certainly won't be returning. I hope this review can be taken as such constructive criticism for some much needed improvements.

My self and my friend both stayed had a wonderful time spa weekend we had Michelle and Lynn and Laura giving us treatments was so lovely wonderful really great massage hot stone ahh leg and foot drift away massage and facials was lovely. |Hotel was lovely and food drink was nice as well really lovely spa time was such a treat

I've just had a lovely day in the spa, accompanying my friend who was using the wellness pod. The staff are very friendly, the spa and all the facilities are spotless. Lovely pool with fabulous views over the countryside, steam room sauna and jacuzzi were all tried out and followed by a cold shower (there's also the option of a warm shower). We had a delicious lunch. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a spa day. We left feeling thoroughly relaxed
