DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! I do not attend this school, but a couple of BA students tried to throw rocks at me as I walked by. I will definitely get the police involved if this happens again. Totally disguating behaviour from the students!

If you’re an individual considering going here for sixth form PLEASE do not.

I gave this school the benefit of the doubt that it would be a good school, I had a lot of hope and I very quickly regretted my decision to choosing this as my sixth form. There are many reasons to why I regret my decision, if you’re a person who cares about your education or are a parent to cares about your child’s future do not make the mistake of sending them to Bexleyheath Academy.

Sixth formers are treated like they’re from year7-11 with no freedom to do anything, the school looks and feels like an actual prison that should have another inspection done by ofsted.
I’m someone who genuinely LOVED school but coming to this school I feel like I want to avoid it rather than even going in and I shouldn’t have to feel like that. there’s no art on the walls or even in any of the classrooms the whole school has a horrible old paint colour that’s such a minor thing but genuinely drains the life out of you furthermore they have a serious seagull issue that they haven’t been able to prevent by setting standards and expectations of students who have food at the school at least twice a week a student is getting poo on them by the birds.

They’re extremely understaffed to the point that as a sixth former you have to share spaces with students from the lower year groups that completely disrupt your study sessions that are vital to the education of a sixth former for independent revision, we have no access to the library let alone that issue we’ve even had a group study taken away from us because we had to go to the hall with different year groups.

The lessons are longer then the usual lessons you’d receive they range from 1hour 5 to 1hour 20mins and you would think that with longer lessons you’d get a longer lunch and break but you don’t, you have a 20 minute break (if you’re lucky) and what’s meant to be a 30 minute lunch (if you’re lucky) overall that’s only an hour of time in comparison to all the hours of schooling you’re doing.

In September you would’ve joined this school and you have been expecting land yards so you can leave the school for lunch and tap in for the mornings however it’s now December and students of this academy haven’t received land yards, because of this issue there has been countless times when the students should’ve had the correct amount of time for lunch but haven’t because they’ve been locked inside the school waiting for a teacher to open the gate.
The 30 minute lunch isn’t even enough to get food as you’re rushing to get food and then even eat it.

When you don’t have a land yard you aren’t able to tap in to go into school so if the gate is closed and you missed it by a minute then you have to walk all the back around the school to the main reception, I tried speaking to a member of staff explaining how I’m a sixth former with no land yard and I was just met with a teacher that was unbothered because it wasn’t “their issue”

The school has one specific receptionist that is unnecessarily rude and patronising it feels like she goes out of her way to make you feel even more upset by the fact that you have to even come to this school in the first place she isn’t welcoming or kind.

The lack of communication in this school is extremely obvious the staff don’t know anything so they don’t tell the students about anything leaving even confused and wandering because of unclear instructions.

If you have a free period at the start or end of the day you aren’t allowed to leave early or come in ‘late’ despite multiple schools doing this and allowing sixth form students to have the right to their freedom, they completely disregard the fact you’re a sixth former and the age that you are and treat you like you’re in year 8.

They have an issue with overcrowding in certain subjects that they’re meant to be solving yet it’s now December and all students joined in September with over almost 50 students in one class at the start of the year now down to just over 40 from people having to drop the subject because of this- (max word count)

Great school, my niece comes here and thoroughly enjoys herself. Since moving here, she’s seen a massive improvement in her grades and has made friends so quickly. Would highly recommend any parent sending their child here.

My son asked for help with his work, and was asked if he is mentally ill !!!
They really don’t know how to deal with children and how to approach situations.
In many occasions he came home crying for being treated unfairly.
The government needs to have an over all review on this school.

I AM VERY UNHAPPY THAT THEY STATEMENTS STANDS FOR NOTHING!!!

I have picked a great school for my children. The staff here are lovely and no issue is too small. The Latest News page needs to be replicated in other schools to help people understand what’s happening in schools today.
