Previously, a good reason to send your child here would be to ensure they have a good sixth form to go to with inclusive staff and a friendly wellbeing team. Now they have none of the above. Don't bother.

i hear and see a lot of people always complaining about mr Robbins it’s either “oh no he’s putting me in reset for such a bad reason” or just utter shit but to be honest he’s there to do his job to be honest and his job is behaviour and there is a behaviour policy. he’s not picking on kids for stupid reasons if a kid goes against the behaviour policy then he will follow it up with whatever sanction goes with it. i mean yes don’t get me wrong sometimes get it wrong but when he gets it wrong he would always acknowledge that he’s on the wrong and apologise for wasting your time and reset isn’t even that bad to be fair it’s honestly so sound you sit in there and work at your own pase. but the rules that everyone complains about are the same rules that help me learn. back in year 7 and 8 i learnt nothing for both of those years until they actually out in some proper rules and followed up with sanctions if i didn’t meet the requirements of the rules because before i’d just sit in lesson and mess about the whole time or someone else would be messing about so i couldn’t learn but now you have 3 chances to stop messing about and if you don’t stop you just get put into reset it’s not them picking on you it’s the fact that if your not going to learn then you aren’t going to mess it up for the other people in the room who want to learn the only thing i’d really complain about bodmin college is how short break times and lunch times are but other than that i think you all should really grow up because if you was put in mr Robbins shoes y’all would get hated on too he’s not a horrible man who picks on people he’s just a man trying to help kids learn and he’s also just realistically trying to do his job like if behaviour was perfect he’d probably not have a job at bodmin college but if you all hate him that much then just start behaving and he’ll leave you alone, i know i’m not the one to talk because every time he picks me up for reset i start to have a massive fit at him even though it’s really not his fault but every time i’m not in reset he’ll come up to me if he sees me with the biggest smile and ask me how my day is going. he’s got to deal with so much of people bullshit just cut the man some slack that’s all i really wanted to say tbh

After the school changed, everything got terrible. Children are sent to detention for "wrong" print and lenght of their socks, they can't go to the restroom when they are need on the lessons, they can't take off their jacket even when it's really hot, they can't wear t-shirt under their uniform if it's cold, and the rest of the useless rules for which children are punished.

Alright school, but terrible 'behavioural policy'.
I once missed 2 days worth of lessons for being outside at wet break

This establishment should be ashamed of it bullish, draconian treatment of the children they banned from their prom because they didn’t meet some jumped up power crazy principles targets of attendance and behaviour. A prom is NOT an event for teachers and head teachers to play god to young people to celebrate the end of their secondary education. These people are no better than arrogant bullies, and should hold their heads in shame at the appalling treatment of those pupils they excluded, some, who were young carers.

Another institution stuck in the stone ages with it's philistine and ludicrous outlook on reality. This forcing students to become jaded and distrustful of authority from day one.
Wondering what this is relating too? The harsh selection process of banning kids from prom if they can't meet the ridiculously high "attendance percentage". You only get one, grow up and realise that in today's current climate it's not always feasible to be at schools' beckon call 24/7.

Banning kids from attending the prom because their attendance doesn't meet a requirement, even if they have been ill or are young carers, is pathetic.
