Wonderful store! The staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable but also don't push a sale and give you space to browse and consider options. In particular, Anne answered so many questions I had about different materials and brands of pans available. She provided many details in a concise way and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each material based on my own personal cooking/cleaning style. I left feeling very confident that I had a product that would suite me well and knowing how to care for it. Can't recommend enough!

I attended an Introduction to Indian Curries and Spices Cooking Class and was absolutely delighted. In my mind making your own curry from scratch was something quite tricky that I didn't really have the confidence to try, but our lovely instructor guided us through the recipes so expertly and also had lots of helpful tips about cooking in general and sourcing ingredients. We made some delicious curries (with meat and vegetarian) and they were absolutely delicious! I feel like I learned a lot and now feel ready to try it myself at home. The shop / setting was also very clean and appealing, I definitely recommend one of their classes for anyone interested in learning more about cooking!

I love this kitchen shop: you find quality dishes, beautiful plates and cooking furnitures. Also the staff is really knowledgeable, likeable. This is a great asset for the shop to have such team.
I would say this is place I like to spend some time to pick ideas up for the family.

Thoroughly enjoyed my cooking class there. I did French pâtisserie, which was great, if not a little difficult in the August heat! Only gripe I would have, would be single people having to partner up. I know it makes sense portion wise, but if I have paid for myself, I want to make the food myself. Teachers were excellent though, very knowledgeable, ultra friendly and the food was great! Very happy with the experience and will return definitely.

I attended the pasta class led by Valeria and it was one of the best cooking classes I have been to. Friendly atmosphere, a very knowledgeable instructor, and importantly lots of delish pasta! Would highly recommend and looking forward to trying out more of Borough Kitchen's classes.

Went in today to buy a micro plane for my chef husband. I was laden with bags having just been shopping in borough market but bought just the one item. Tapped my card and asked for a bag.

Get home and discover that she bloody charged me for an olive wood spoon on top!! How can you ‘honestly’ make a mistake like this when a customer buys one item. I’m appalled. Will be spreading the word around all the chefs I know to never never go there!

I attended a Korean cooking class at the Hampstead branch recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The class was held by Panos, who was kind and light-hearted, yet informative. We were also hosted by Eve, who very kindly looked after our practical needs, bringing us clean equipment, clearing up for us and making the evening easy! We started with Panos ensuring we were all settled and introduced, he told us what we would be making whilst establishing our familiarity with Korean food. We worked our way through 3 recipes with complete guidance, comfort and fun. The results were delicious and made to feel very easy. I felt like the evening went very quickly because it was just so enjoyable. This must have translated to observers because many people stopped to watch us through the window and one guy even came in to ask for more information on future classes. I did really like the set-up of the class kitchen amongst the store itself, it felt very fluid. Overall, I had a great educational evening, I walked away feeling like I'd really learnt something, but without pressure or any feeling of inferiority. I'd also gained some kitchen skills, some new knowledge (not just Korean-specific) and a full, happy tummy! A class would make a great gift or treat for a foodie!!
