Would not hesitate to recommend - and will definitely be using Bowman again for charters in the area. Falmouth is a great base. The pre-charter experience was very positive - interacting with Cyprian who is friendly and responsive. Our checkout was conducted with a minimum of fuss by Jake, who was then available on messenger throughout the trip (with some good advice and local knowledge). We chartered Skylark - which was well maintained, equipped and dry. We visited the Isles of Scilly - and had a fabulous time there - only returning to the mainland because the charter came to an end!

We chartered Mojo, Bowman's Dufour 410, for a week long trip to the Isles of Scilly. She was the cleanest and best cared for boat we've chartered to date. Cyprian and Chris gave a friendly and helpful handover. Cyprian was on hand (had we needed) to trouble-shoot and provide advice all week. The hand-back was straightforward. A great experience all round, departing from a lovely base to even lovelier destinations (with dolphins on the way). We'll be back.

Great charter experience. Cyprian is always at hand to answer all queries. We chartered a Sun Odyssey 40 which our was well equipped for all our needs. Great boat for crossing to the Scilly Isles, easy to handle and in good condition.

We chartered Sunny from Falmouth. A 42 footer for 5 of us was lovely & comfortable, weather was brilliant for our first time sailing in Cornwall. Cyprian and his team were amazingly helpful and the whole charter ran smoothly with minimum admin & fuss. Looking forward to next time!

Another good charter with Bowman, May/June 2023, this time Alcyone a 35ft Sun Odyssey. Falmouth is an ideal base, the Bowman yachts are very well maintained, Cyprian and the team are well organised and ready to respond quickly to any niggles. Don’t be put off by the clunky and frustrating web interface, the boats are better than their booking system!

We chartered the brilliant Sunny, a Jeanneau 40, from Bowman YC last August and had a brilliant time. Oh and we saw dolphins!

The yacht was well presented, well equipped and kept very clean. Some real positives to highlight:
- excellent dinghy secured on davits
- high quality interior and soft furnishings
- social but safe cockpit with Bimini and cockpit cushions
- central location in Falmouth with almost all-tides access (parking valet service a must)
- well maintained running rigging with well thought out rope bags, like you’d have if she was your own

Some ideas for improvement (some may already have been included as I write this 6months late):
- clearer / more comprehensive list of what’s already stocked onboard (to save buying hand soap, for example)
- a revamp of cooking utensils and crockery (some of it had aged or wasn’t really suitable for cooking for 6)
- a folding prop to help in light winds? (Guessing it was fixed…)

We did have some teething issues with the battery meter and VHF system, but Cyprian responded quickly to any call and would advise on a fix or work around. Such issues arise and are part of the fun of yachting!

Thanks for a great charter, we’ll be back! (Though, please can you start a charter base in Plymouth or Dartmouth too so we can use you more often)

Had an excellent week exploring the Isles of Scilly in Yemaya, a Bowman 50. I can't recommend BYC enough. Cyprian was extremely helpful and the yacht was truly excellent - a real treat for us to sail her.

We chartered 'Mojo' for 3 days in Mid-March. The booking process with Cyprian and everything was completed online using simple forms!

The boat was clean, tidy and ready to go on our arrival and a handover was completed and was aimed at our previous knowledge. The yacht is kept at Falmouth Yacht Haven which is in the centre of Falmouth offering plenty of places to eat. The pontoon is free to use throughout the charter which was great considering the weather forced us to stay local. We sailed the carrick roads down to Malpas and out to the Helford River during our Charter.

The returning of Mojo was easy and simple. A quick and fair check from Cyprian was completed and the deposit was returned swiftly within a few days.

Cyprian was helpful and easily contactable throughout the charter. All information was easily accessible and the Yacht is at a great standard.

I would recommend using BYC and will use them again!
