A lovely visit to the college recently. You need to book in advance. Transport provided from the Band Stand in Dartmouth town to the college. I'D is also required to take the tour. Mike was our guide for the couple hours tour. He shared a wealth of knowledge about the college. Well worth a visit.

Went on the guided tour.
We met the guide at the Royal Avenue Garden fountains and then got on the tour bus that took us to the college.
Our guide was excellent, a former Wren, very engaging.
It was fascinating listening to the history of the place.
I would have liked to view a classroom and get more insight on cadet training schedules etc, maybe there would be security issues around that though.

What a fantastic place to visit. It surpassed our expectation and our guide was so knowledgeable. Our guide, was superb. He had trained at the college so he knew the history of the college and several. anecdotes. All done with humour and in a way that everyone can understand. Can’t recommend our guide more highly

We had a guided tour. The building is impressive with a rich history - the tour only includes the front of the building. Note though it was 3 hours in total from meeting to drop off and whilst it is a walking tour most of the time involves standing or sitting. We would have preferred more wandering, or a shorter tour.

Not bad, they threw me in a pool with a pair of overalls on and made me do the Bleep test. 9/10 would get shouted at for being slow again.

In all seriousness though I've lived in the Dartmouth area all my young life, since then I've travelled enough to tell you a thing or two about beauty and pride and even though I've never really trained their myself and only know a few that have, the BRNC is something else, the discipline and beauty of the halls and the people that call them home is beyond exemplary.

Our guide was a fountain of knowledge and very entertaining.
You can only visit as part of an organised tour booked through the Tourist Information Office [--] and these are on Wednesdays and Saturdays or Sundays ,April to October, they are not available every week so i'd recommend calling them to check if you want to try and tie in your trip with visiting the college.
You must have a ticket issued by us to go on a tour, will need to take Photographic ID with you and be prepared to have your bags checked. We can take bookings up to 2 weeks in advance.
