THIS is why we need independent book shops. We've visited several times and have been so impressed with the proprietor, who is like the Sorting Hat for books - she was so friendly and has perfectly matched a great book to three kids of different ages by asking about their interests. Really lovely selection of high quality books - you can really tell that the shop has given so much thought to the books they stock. If you're in Dartmouth, do pay them a visit!

Wonderful little independent book store located down the side streets within Dartmouth. The staff are all very friendly and even helped me track down the first book in a series I've been looking for and offered to order it in store for me! They also chatted about the book I was buying and mentioned it was a good read - just generally very friendly people!

I called into today for a little nose about without any real attention of buying anything. Shockingly and rather shamefully I read most of my books on my kindle.

So the young sales assistant made sure I put my mask on and hand sanitized before I entered. I was trying to find my mask as I entered. It was the first time I've been challenged and I was impressed. The lady did it in a very polite manor too. A real asset to the business.

Once I entered the store I remembered there was a novel I was looking to buy 'Lancaster bomber by john nichol'.

The sales assistan, quickly located the book and I happily purchased the book. Think I will endeavour to buy more books from a store in future.

A very charming book shop that. Well worth a visit.
