As a former student who took up adult nursing, this university is a joke as the lecturers in my course are not that supportive. Everytime I emailed my lecturers regarding my enquiry, they would either ignore my emails or read them late.

If I also wish to add, the counselling services are useless as they cannot figure out which support would work best for the student and this university does not take student mental health very seriously. Overall this is by far the worst universities I’ve ever visited and if you think of going to study there, don’t because those lecturers don’t give a shit about their students.

What’s even funny is that this university claims to be the “number 1 for student support” like is this uni serious? Wow. What a greatest lie I’ve ever heard in my life. At the end of the day, there are far better universities out there than this garbage. 🚮

Wouldn't recommend, stay clear from such appalling university, used to travel 2 hours for lectures and then was bullied on a ward during my nursing placement. became depressed and felt neglected was failed off my course and had no way of appealing

Absolutely shocking university. Didn’t advertise things that were supposed to be told before starting the course. The halls are shocking that’s regarding every single university halls in Wycombe and the area of the university is terrible. I would advise anybody who is thinking of going here to look else where please for your own sake.

The University undertook a major development of the High Wycombe Campus with a large structure, known as the Gateway Building, being built onto the front of the existing building. It won a RIBA award in 2010.

A state-of-the-art complex, the Gateway offers a rich mix of commercial-standard facilities, including a sports/events hall, fitness centre and performance lab, dance and drama studios, sound design labs, music recording studios and video production suites, a modern integrated learning resources centre and meeting and conference rooms. It also has green screen facilities and a motion capture system.

This university has refused my entry to a apprenticeship based on the fact that I cant produce GCSE results; I graduated from high school in 1989 in Canada and have a Bachelor of Nursing. In order to practice nursing in this country you need to go through rigorous numeracy and literacy tests to obtain your registration.

I even offered to take any test to prove that I meet the requirements.

I applied to four of the top universities in the England, including KCL, UCL, Edinburgh, and ICL. I received excellent and even unconditional offers from these prestigious institutions. However, I chose to prioritize this university, hoping for a conducive academic environment to foster my growth. Unfortunately, this decision has been a major letdown.

This university has fallen short in so many ways. As a student with a strong academic track record, I had high expectations, but my experience has been marred by unresponsive staff and a lack of support. I've invested a significant amount of time and money, only to find myself in a position where I must withdraw from the course after a year of frustration.

The lectures and professors are unhelpful, leaving students without the support they need. Promises of assistance and support, which are touted in their online media, are utterly false. In reality, when you encounter problems, you'll be passed around without anyone genuinely understanding or addressing your concerns. I experienced a significant amount of stress and mental strain, and my issues were not respected or addressed at all. This university has left me feeling completely isolated.

I want to emphasize that this review isn't driven by personal animosity; it's a sincere caution to those considering this university. If you value your academic progress and seek a supportive environment, please look elsewhere. There are far better educational options in England, and my experience here has been a stark reminder of the importance of choosing the right institution for your academic journey.

Went to Bucks for 4 years. Was really good and enjoyed it. Had really supportive tutors and overall was a great experience. However I started a MA but decided to leave due to my mental health. The uni made this incredibly hard and stressful causing more strain on my mental well-being. Constantly receiving invoices for more money when I had paid half my fees in term one and dropped out before term two started. The withdrawal team spent days before replying to drag out the process causing more stress. I was then sent an email saying if I don't pay my case will be sent to debt collectors despite me being in constantly dialogue with the university regarding my withdrawal. Uni can be very stressful but I don't think Bucks is very mindful of that. They seem to put money before their students.

One of the most unsupportive uni I have ever come across.
Lecturers were hardly in
Support wasn’t there .
I speak 50 mins to get to the right person after being sent call from call for assistance
Registry office was incompetent
Went up to see them last Wednesday and was told they would call , never did.
Even withdrawing from the course I wasn’t passed around like a ball.

I have now enrolled with a reputable university where support was accessed immediately .
