I joined the 2-hour mixed-ability group ride, which was divided into two groups: beginners and intermediate. As part of the intermediate group, we did 4-5 rounds of canter stretches. It was a beautiful experience with stunning scenery. The horses were well-trained and calm, and the staff were incredibly helpful, matching each rider with the most suitable horse. I would definitely come back—highly recommended! 👍

A inspirational place set in the beautiful Cannock Chase of Staffordshire. For many years I've come either alone (but had great company on arrival), with friends and with family, as well as shared some wonderful special occasions celebrating including birthdays and baby showers. Always a positive, warming greeting on arrival. The best tasting coffee, made with care and love! A lovely menu for everyone's dietary needs, freshly made and presented with such care and are very supportive and allergy aware. Sit in front of a log burner and watch the horses all around happy, enjoying what they do and relaxed. If you wish to ride highly recommended, horses all unique, ready to support all abilities and safe and trusted - your ride tailored to you with good conversations prior mounting so you have the best time. A real safe Haven for All and all are welcome. Many cherished memories and more to come. Thank you xx

Great experiance, one of the best riding/trekking centres iv been too. Treated my husband and myself to an hour trek for his 30th birthday - he had never been on a horse before. From the moment we got there we were welcomed with warm, friendly faces who very helpful. Lisa set us up all on horses picking them individually, one at a time depending on the person I thought was great. I was given buttons and my husband baby. It's lovely how they introduce you to the horse and give each person time to get on the horse and instructions regardless of time riding prior. The trek it's self is beautiful and well worth the money. The girls who trek with us are all lovely, and think it's nice how they talk to you. It's was great being able to trot too, it was nice how we were in control and allowed to trek ourselves with the girls there if needed help. Thank you all to the team we will definitely be back.

Superb! A wonderful two hour ride through the beautiful woods and heathland of Cannock Chase. No roadwork. The horses and ponies here are so well-trained, healthy and happy in their work. My daughter has ridden here a few times this year and I was so excited to join her. I was not disappointed. The whole set up is impressive with its delicious bistro food. The owner Lisa is so welcoming to everyone (as are all her team) and takes time to match you to the horse that will give you the best experience. I rode Saffy and she was brilliant. I cannot wait to return.

First time on a horse and very apprehensive. Lisa went out of her way to reassure me, partnered me with 'baby' who was just adorable and within 10 minutes i was having the time of my life. I booked a 2 hour trek as soon as we got back. What an excellent place.

I first used the trekking centre approximately 28 years ago and I am so pleased to have watched Lisa go from strength to strength.

Lisa is an incredible horse woman and literally lives and breathes her horses. Her herd consists of homebred and others she has meticulously sourced. All are kept in fantastic condition and they are clearly her babies rather than just a business asset.

The centre caters for all, from beginner's to advanced and of all ages.

Without a LONG drive you will not beat the terrain. Cannock Chase is absolutely stunning, whatever the season and the riding is all off road. If the scenery isn't enough, there will be plenty of wildlife to spot on your ride too.

With the growth of the centre has come a Bistro. It's so lovely to be able to get a hot drink and a bit of cake or something more sensible to eat after a ride. It's also great for non riders who have provided lifts....or for if you just want to call in.

Although no longer in the industry, my qualifications are in all things equine and I once worked on competition and racing yards. My background has left me a stickler for high standards....and with this in mind I would literally have no problem recommending the centre to anybody. I'd go as far as to say, it's probably the best you will ever find.

Went today for a 2 hour advanced trek and had the pleasure of riding Indiana! Such a fun trek, really enjoyed my time. Lisa and her staff were lovely and knowledgeable. I could listen to Lisa talk horses all day. Bistro cafe is fantastic treated myself to loaded fries and a salted caramel latte. Will definitely go again.

This is an absolute gem of a place. I have been horse riding on and off since I was a little girl, was invited to join a friend to come here for a 2hr ride after a break from riding. I Instantly felt at ease listening to Lisa assessing each person on how much you could ride to establish what horse is best for you as they are all her own horses. I enjoyed it so much that I went back on my own and had 6 further 2hour rides in the very beautiful Cannock Chase each time taking a different route which was lovely. Lisa and her team have been fantastic in guiding me through the cantering again and getting my confidence back. I had western saddle and Buttons to prepare me for my upcoming holiday in USA which was perfect. I could not be happier, they have a way of encouraging you so you get the absolute best experience possible. For me it was everything I could have hoped for and more to prepare me for my trip. So a big thank you to Lisa, Mark , Ellie, Beth, Sally and the rest too many to mention. If anything like me you will get the bug for it and just want to keep going back. Just go enjoy every minute you won’t regret it!
