I've just completed a fun and informative one-day sourdough course with Vicky in her fabulous teaching kitchen. Vicky is a great teacher bringing in nutritional information as well as teaching the delicate skill of bread baking. We were milling our own flour (and not just any grain but wonderful ancient ones) and making many different loaves and flat breads. What with a delicious lunch I was literally overflowing by the time I was going home. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day that I highly recommend.

Vicky is a great teacher, the workshops are run in a very cosy and relaxed atmosphere, although we all worked very hard. A wonderful way to spend the day and learn about the ancient way of milling grains & the benefits of the sourdough fermentation process! And of course, the food is out of this world delicious!!!

With years and years of teaching experience, she takes you through the three stages to make the perfect loaf from scratch, freely sharing her 40 years knowledge and expertise of working with the best and ’ancient’ ingredients.

As a person who chefs go to for advice, Vicky really is one of the world’s greatest authority on Sourdough Bread and her expertise doesn't end there, anyone for pizza dough 🍕

Nothing beats the aroma of freshly baked bread but when it tastes as good as the bread we made during Vicky's workshop, it's sensational. Trained by traditional Italian master bakers, Vicky let us into many secrets of the art. The workshop was a fun day out and as a bonus I came away with many different freshly baked loaves made from the best freshly milled grain. Recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to bake Artisan bread with Vicky at Canterbury baking school. We milled our own flour and turned it into delicious and healthy bread. It was such great fun and I felt so lucky to have Vicky as my teacher. One of my favourite days ever.

A great time with with Vicky and her team. There were 10 of us so they had their work cut out to keep us all on track which they handled easily. It was a really fun day preparing, cooking and eating food, which was delicious. We learned a lot, particularly as Vicky made it seem so simple, which it is.

The two day Sourdough Masterclass was all I hoped for, both from the knowledge point of view, and, particularly, concerning the 'feel' of the processes, and the physical confidence of handling and judging dough as part of the art of sourdough baking. For me, and perhaps that's just me, at a deeper level, there was something about 'being' in the natural world of sourdough bread as much as there was about 'doing' - great!
I have been baking sourdough for several years now, and this course added a great boost to my sense of 'being at home' in the sourdough-baking world.
Vicky and her assistant were immensely welcoming and helpful, and Vicky's mastery was very helpful and supportive.

I used to bake sourdough regularly at home so I thought I knew a lot about baking sourdough bread. However, learning from Vicky, who is a true expert, I discovered that there was so much I didn’t know. For example I didn’t realise that sourdough done properly doesn’t have to be chewy and full of holes, it can be soft and a delight to eat. This is due to a combination of using high quality ingredients, and baking using the correct method and techniques. I wouldn’t have been able to learn this from a book or online. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and I have developed my sourdough skills to a whole new level!
