My first thing to do in Carlisle is visit stunning Cathedral. Absolutely amazing cathedral next to main shopping area right in middle of city. From the minute you enter the ground, it stunned you by its beauty. More you look the more you get surprised. It has the largest full flowing stained glass window in the UK.

The cathedral is free however if you desire to give a donation of any amount. We been given a map for easy navigation. Downstairs is a small museum where you can find some historical pieces. The cathedral is definitely worth a visit and where you can find a lot of interesting points to spend hours and hours.

If you visit, make sure you use the mirror below the ceiling for an awesome look of ceiling which is worth. Overall a very well preserved, peaceful, beautiful, astounding place and don’t forget to read its history which blow your mind too.

This place is so pretty.
The architecture is amazing.
There is so much to learn and see.
The cathedral itself is so beautiful.
Donations are welcome, but no tickets are needed.
They had a little game going on for kids, and they got a sticker at the end of it.
That was very thoughtful.
It's a must-see.
We also visited the cafe just outside, it was good.

Really lovely experience here at the cathedral. I would consider this a must-see if you are passing through Carlisle. There are guides on hand to answer any questions you might have. One such gentleman (whose name escapes me), I asked to simply tell me everything he knows about the place. We spent about an hour walking around and he told me all the information he could. Truly a wonderful experience. There is a cafe and washrooms outside the cathedral and a gift shop inside for those who want gifts. Remember to look up when you visit! The ceiling is stunning! I was moved to tears.

Beautiful cathedral with an amazing ornate organ. The outside of the building does not draw you in for some reason, but the inside is fantastic! If you've never popped in, I highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved this first time visit. Very educational and especially loved the artefacts in the Treasury. Sat for a short while and found myself Just staring at the stunning stained glass windows and the beautiful ceiling. Hopefully will be able to visit again one day when I'm next in this beautiful part of the country.

A beautiful cathedral which os accessible for all. There is a gift shop inside. Outside, there is the cathedral cafe, which is accessible for all with a large range of options on the menu.

A cathedral with a long history to it. Well maintained and free for the visitors. the staff is very helpful and they give you a good explanation up on request. There is a cafe where you can spend some time admiring the place.
