Perfect weekend stay!||My wife and I stayed two nights in a family room, as we were in the area looking after our Grandson, and everything about the stay was perfect. ||The family room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. ||Food in the bar was served in good time and was of a high standard. ||The team really looked after us in Breakfast, providing high chair and getting us some warm milk for little ones Weetabix. ||The pool was warm and clean and very enjoyable. ||All staff were friendly and helpful. ||Thank you, we’ll be back.

Wow, what a wonderful 3days and 2 nights. We had the ground floor garden queen bed rooms, myself, husband, 2 children and 2 dogs. The room was super clean, right amount of tea making facilities, lovely shampoos, amazingly comfy beds and pillows. It was lovely being able to take the dogs out straight from our room for a stretch without dragging them through the hotel. The pool was small but perfect for the girls. The good was delicious (one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had, so much choice). The staff are all happy and super helpful. There was a wedding there on the Saturday and we didn't hear a single peep. We can't wait to return. We highly recommend.
Thank you so so much for the perfect birthday get away.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. ||||Good check in experience, I had a lovely room, large comfortable bed with good quality sheets, great shower and really nice staff at breakfast service. ||||A couple of issues were: ||1) Whilst the sheets were great quality and the bed was nicely made there was quite a bit of hair in the bed! I suspect that is more an issue of the laundry service than the housekeeping staff as otherwise the room was spotless. ||2) The lighting was a bit complicated, there was tonnes of switches in the room but none of them, except the master switch turned off the bed back light. This meant I couldn’t turn on the bedside light without getting out of bed to go turn on the master switch by the door. ||||Overall, still I good hotel, I would stay again and hope for cleaner sheets.

The hotel ticked many boxes regarding access, area attractions and in-house facilities. EV charging facilities was much appreciated.||We were attending a conference with over 300 dining; surprisingly, the food was hot when served and quite nice. The service was very good.||On the debit column, the food service in the bar was patchy causing our friends to return their food. If the staff are busy, which they were, customers should be told in advance. The hotel may also wish to review their wine selection.

The hotel itself was satisfactory, but we encountered several issues with the cleanliness of our room.

- Upon check-in, we noticed stains on the toilet that appeared to be fecal.
- There was an old, rotten jellybean on the floor.
- The duvet had some unidentified black fabric or residue on it.

We informed the staff, and they assured us the room would be given a deep clean. However, when we returned later, the jellybean was still on the floor in the exact same spot, which was disappointing.

Update: They gave us a refund for breakfast. Found this to a really good gesture but still need to note about the cleanliness 🙂

On a positive note, the male receptionist (he worked afternoon of 26/04/25, evening 27/04/25) was very kind and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile.

We also used the spa facilities and had a great experience. Both Bhoomi and Aliki were warm, friendly, and professional. Bhoomi performed my massage and facial and also gave my partner a massage — both of which were truly relaxing.

Really lovely, comfortable hotel, the location is a bit out of the way if you don't drive, there are no pavements and the surrounding roads are 60mph country roads, there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is really nice, the food was good but the bar was really expensive. The staff were very friendly and nothing wwas too much trouble. We stayed for 5 nights and had a fabulous time. The pool is nice but there are no changing facilities, you have to get changed I front of everyone which I didn't like.

This review is being written from the perspective of our dog, Odin the Chow Chow.
My pawrents brought me to this lovely dog-friendly hotel for the weekend! On arrival, not only did I get lots of fuss from the reception staff but when my pawrents went for some lunch, I was able to go with them and was given a lovely bowl of water (I was thirsty after the drive and it was a warm day). I could have had treats, but I never eat them!
The room was on the same floor as the hotel entrance - I can’t do stairs and prefer not to do lifts so was perfect for me.
Once in the room, the a/c went on and it got lovely and cool in there. My favourite place to sleep is the cool bathroom floor and there was plenty of room for me to stretch out there.
My mum had a couple of spa treatments whilst she was there and she said the massage was the best she’d had in any hotel she’s stayed in (and she. Is a massage therapist herself).
The grounds of the hotel were nice and I had plenty of space to go for walks there. I only go for short walks normally, but I enjoyed it so much I stayed out for a bit longer! It was nice to see the rabbits in the grounds too (I didn’t chase them because I’m a good boy).
Mum and dad said the breakfast staff were really friendly and dad liked that that they had a separate dish of well-cooked bacon (like it should be, according to him!).
The hotel
Was busy as there were two conferences going on, but the reception staff still had the time to pet and make a fuss of me whenever I went past.
It was a lovely stay and hope to be able to go back and visit again soon.
