The massage from Ellen was absolutely incredible, and my wife really enjoyed her facial — please do pass on our thanks. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated.

That said, we were a little underwhelmed by the facilities. Having visited several spas in the area, this one didn’t quite meet expectations, especially given the promotional imagery. The hydrotherapy pool looked quite different from the photos, and the atmosphere during the ‘Twilight’ spa experience wasn’t as relaxing as we’d hoped — the lights were all on and very bright, even after sunset, which didn’t create a calming mood.

The main pool was quite cold, and the hydrotherapy pool wasn’t overly warm either — we expected more warmth and ambience, as you’d usually see steam rising from a hydrotherapy pool. A member mentioned that some of the issues may be due to recent cost-cutting, which was disappointing to hear.

We also noticed some maintenance issues, like peeling paint on the walls, warm beds and bottom of the tiles. Unfortunately, the outdoor hot tub was among the least enjoyable we’ve ever experienced.

We really appreciated the treatments and the lovely staff, but with a few updates and improvements to the spa environment, this experience could be significantly better, especially for the cost.

A wonderful stay in a truly luxurious setting. The room was enormous, and well appointed, offering a lovely view over the croquet lawn. The dining was outstanding, with food that matched the high standards of the hotel. The conference facilities were excellent, making it an ideal location for both business and leisure. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the kitchen garden is a particular highlight – both charming and inspiring. A perfect blend of comfort, class, and natural beauty.

I have stayed in many 5* hotels all around the world but nothing compares to the natural, genuine care that the staff at this hotel show you.|Everyone loves working here, like a big family. You feel like you are joining a family that want to have you staying at their beautiful country home.|The hotel is stunning, so many things to do. It's understated British glamour. Naturally beautiful. Set in one of the most beautiful places in the UK. In the new forest close to the beach.|Food and drink is perfection at this hotel. Tree houses are so special. Utter luxury nestled in the woodlands. Quiet and calm with wild life all around.

Nothing, disappoints you here.
The staff were smartly attired, always extremely helpful and kind.
We were luckily upgraded to a garden room, which was divine as all the rooms are.
In the hotel grounds there was plenty to do, table tennis, tennis, putting golf, 9 hole golf course to name a few.
Walking to the most beautiful beach took 15 minutes.
We ate in the hotel restaurant and The Kitchen during our stay. Just perfect dining with knowledgeable waiting staff.

We will return because we have found a hotel paradise.

Afternoon tea was incredible, we came here to celebrate a family retirement. We had 6 adults and 4 children under the age of 10. The kids afternoon tea was amazing which they loved. In our group we also had a gluten and dairy allergy individual and wow they certainly catered well for this, was the best afternoon tea experienced for someone with allergies, was Incredible. |The grounds are beautiful, staff were incredible, friendly and passionate to provide a great service. Staff interacted with the kids which was great.|I 100% recommend a visit.

I've been to Chewton Glen a couple of times now. Firstly to the spa, then for the cookery school and finally for a 2 night stay (business and pleasure) and I have to say this is becoming my favourite place. Firstly, the staff are incredible. Thomas, Joshua, deserve a special shout out. Highly recommend doing any of the activities especially through Adam from Walder Events who was amazing. The facilities are amazing, the food is delicious, the setting is serene and if you can afford to, then the Treehouses are a must do experience. Honestly, can't think of any negative! I'll be back!

I went for a cream tea at the Chewton Glen. All the staff were very polite and attentive. The service was excellent from the moment you enter the hotel. The scones were delicious and so was the strawberry jam. A truly beautiful setting. The grounds are very well maintained, simply stunning. Whilst walking around the grounds my mum unfortunately had a fall and was helped by a kind guest and the duty manager Lee. Lee was fantastic and really took care to ensure my mum was ok. She called two colleagues Ed and Billy who brought a golfing type buggy as my mum struggled to walk back to the car. I just want to say a huge thank you to the staff that helped us back to our car and ensured mum was ok. Lee took charge and was brilliant. Thank you so much, mum, my sister and I are so grateful for your help and to the kind guest who also helped us. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

Second visit. Exceptional. Staff exemplary. Vodka Martinis (Inc the Chilli one!) in pop up bar (temporary, whilst they refurbish main bar) excellent. Just 5 star service from start to finish. It's not cheap, but reassuringly expensive and the staff make you feel welcome and valued. The spa is just incredible... impeccably spotless, everything working and towels a plenty. Breakfast, sublime. Save up and treat yourself/yourselves. We're only here once and this hotel has to be experienced to be believed. We will absolutely return.
