I’ve personally been going to Conroys for the past 4 years and playing both arena and glass polo seasons and always enjoy myself.

I’ve been playing polo at Conroy polo for about 10 years. It is super friendly and Ryan and his team are great. They have more instructional Chukkas per week than any other school or club in the South East.
It is also the most cost effective place to play which is important if your means are “ordinary” like mine as the sport is so addictive. It’s by no means obligatory, but in return most clients help de-tack the horses at the end of the session, and it is great to get a bit more confidence and understanding of what is involved with preparing the pony for play.
I’m in my 50s now but just about clinging on as it is definitely a sport that requires some flexibility. Ryan is always very thoughtful about the ponies he puts us on and he balances everyone’s ability and need for speed !!
I’ve played instructional Chukkas in a few clubs and this is the only one I’ve ever stuck with. Well done team at Conroy polo.

My teenage son has been coming here for over 2yrs now & absolutely loves it. After getting bored of normal riding school we thought polo would be a fun experience & he was hooked from the first intro lesson!

Ryan is great at knowing exactly what he needs, whether it’s instruction, encouragement, a challenge, support or just patience, & it’s really paid off. With Casey tagging in to help him with training on various skills along the way too - he credits her with his nearside shots!

I enjoyed watching so much I just had to do an intro lesson last year & now I’m also hooked. It’s fun, great exercise, addictive and brings out the competitiveness in us. Plus, I love that it’s a hobby we can share.

The stars of the show are obviously the ponies! They are so well trained & we learn different things from each one we ride.

The whole team at Conroy Polo are so friendly & professional - perfect for making beginners feel comfortable or developing experienced players.

If you're considering giving Polo a go, this is definitely the place to do it, plus the views across Surrey all the way to London are an added bonus on a lovely day.

From day 1 the professionalism of Conroy Polo shone through. From the booking to the lesson execution, we have been beyond impressed with the experience. We entered Conroy with a 9 and an 11 year old. One had never sat on a horse before and the other had spent months taking basic riding lessons, and barely got out of Trot! After 2 weeks both children were cantering and now a few months down the line we have two confident children with a passion for polo and a surprising natural talent shining through!
Ryan and Casey have a friendly, supportive, down to earth and inspiring teaching style. The lessons are fun and challenging and they are amazing at instilling confidence in the riders that need it. The horses are carefully selected and well suited to each rider and we have all fallen completely in love with them!
We would highly recommend Conroy for beginners and advanced riders alike.

I went to Conroy pretty consistently for a few months while living in London. I think the instructional chukkers are an amazing value, and Ryan works really hard to balance the teams. I highly reccomend private lessons with Ryan, both for riding and on the wooden horse, to work on specific skills. Ryan is an amazing instructor, and learning from him really helped build my confidence after recovering from a bad fall (somewhere else). I couldn't recommend playing there enough.

(p.s. For those on the petite side with short legs, Teddy is still my favorite horse of all time, even after moving back to the US.)

One of the most obvious things that sets Conroy Polo apart from other clubs is the affordability – with prices firmly on the lower side of industry standards, Conroy Polo maintains an exceptional standard of teaching.

The facilities are also fantastic – two beautifully maintained pitches, the Wooden Horse “Fred” – on which I’ve spent dozens of hours practising my swing, and the Handstick practice area, all set against the backdrop of the Surrey Hills.

I can’t recommend Conroy Polo enough. It’s the perfect place for anyone who wants to improve their game, all while being part of a friendly and supportive community.
