My daughter has autism and has become so anxious and depressed that she is on the point of having a mental breakdown. She contacted the surgery a few months ago and they sent her a number to ring for help. Her autism means she struggles with interactions but she forced herself to contact the number only to be told that they could take no more referrals.
Her symptoms have now worsened and she is desperate for help. She completed the form for an appointment and was told that the mental health team will be in touch within a fortnight.
I contacted the surgery again to request an appointment as I feel she needs help now with medication for her anxiety, and I simply got the same reply. I know that within a fortnight she will have left her job and her feelings of hopelessness and helplessness will have been compounded.
I have only had one appointment at the surgery and was very impressed with the help I received, but I am appalled and genuinely shocked at how my daughter has been treated. She is more resigned than me and says that no-one will help because she doesn’t make a commotion. How sad is that!

I've been with this practice for over 50 years and they used to be superb but in the last 10-15 years they have just gone from bad to worse to way beyond a complete joke. Their prescription service is diabolical. They couldn't organise a you know what in a brewery. There is no continuity from month to month and it turns into a saga every time I need to pick up my prescription. You fight like hell to get an automatically repeating prescription and you're lucky if it works twice then the whole process collapses and you start from square one.
Useless. Bring back Dick, Cadamy and Pickles with one secretary when it all ran like clockwork!!!

My dad hasnt been physically seen for over 2 years, everything is done over the phone. Then my husband registered as a temp patient, requested a doctor and was seen by nurse, who was unable to fulfil his request as needed to see a Dr. So wasted his time and the nurses time. I've witnessed an old lady at the front desk ask for an appointment, only to be told by rude staff to book online. Not everyone is digitally capable. Where is the accommodation for this. Theres no care taken and no customer service. I can only imagine how hard it must be to run a health centre with such a large demand. But theres no excuse for poor pracises and poor care. The reception staff are rude and abrasive. All she said was thats your option. Ok then so when the doctor tell all you patients something, just remember thats his opinion! Please do better!

I've seen it across many different departments, areas and settings now within the NHS, it is not fit for purpose (as the many poor/needs improvement care reports also echo). From my perspective as a patient and previous care worker, staff are incredibly overwhelmed, undervalued and overworked. I imagine 1800s work horses were treated better than some trusts treat their staff. It really feels as though staff are so overwhelmed that they no longer have the capacity to care for patients the way they should be. System Online can not handle anything more complex than a cold or period cramps. Mental health is not being taken in to consideration among staff despite being preached about in the leaflets and online. The NHS is failing us all and this surgery is no exception, in fact it might be a shining example of just how bad it is in some places in the UK right now. The areas served by this GP collective and Airedale are also impossibly large. People are so overwhelmed that mistakes keep happening and it's only a matter of time before something more serious happens and I am genuinely afraid for the health/care of family friends, myself and others right now.

I went to the doctors over an injury I spoke to a doctor and she denied everything I said she was very rude, she was very rough handling making me leave in more pain than I went in. Some of the symptoms I had that she called red flags she said didn't matter but she told me to go back if the red flags occurred, which half of them did occur when I went in and she didn't care at all. She told me I wasn't limping and I was as we tried telling her, but she didn't know if I was limping as she didn't watch me walk in. She was overall very rude didn't help and I am in a alot of pain.

Submitted a patient consultation form in at 11.30am. Spoke to a lovely GP 20 mins later who requested a photo of the problem area. Treatment prescribed shortly after that.
Amazing-efficient- professional service as ever.
Thank you

I was sent to this practice by my GP's surgery in Keighley, for my diabetes review, and I read the reviews with trepidation as they were not the most favourable.
However, I found the receptionist friendly and efficient and Rachel, the nurse who saw me, was really sociable and thorough and arranged appointments and messages for me.
I know my appointment was just a snapshot of the surgery, but my experience of it was positive.

Zero stars!!
I have been a patient at this practice since I was born 50 years ago. I cannot describe the disgust and hatred I have for this place for the last 30 years. The receptionists are arrogant, unsympathetic and completely unhelpful. I actually have a voice recording of them slagging me off whilst I was in a private room making a complaint about them.
Everything they do is incompetent and it takes several attempts to try to get anything done.
It would take pages and pages to fully describe the level of incompetence, disregard, lack of accountability and disrespect that has taken place over the years, not to mention untreated issues due to lack of appointments. I personally know people who have had severe consequences due to not being treated properly. They don't have the first clue how to deal with mental health issues.
I strongly urge others to share their experiences to try and finally get changes that work FOR THE PATIENT, and bring some accountability to these people. This surgery is often a topic of discussion amongst friends and acquaintances who also have the same opinion, so I know for a fact that this is a general consensus in this area.
Please try to find an alternative before using this surgery as you may have serious consequences to your health.
I will never step foot in this place again and I urge all staff to consider the effects that their actions have on their so called patients. How do you sleep at night, an utter disgrace!
