This railway station sits on the line that heads towards ormskirk in one direction and towards ormskirk in the other. There are parking spaces for disabled people. There is no security CCTV. There is definitely a ticketing machine although it wasn't working when I was there. You can stand and wait for your train or sit in the nearby shelter. There are no digital information boards, so it must be a guessing game as to when your train will arrive. And if you bring your bicycle there is a bicycle rack here. Whilst you are waiting for your train you can look at the flowers on the platform.

A place where you used to be able to catch a train, that was before the government handed the contract to northern railway. Now you have more chance of seeing a yeti than a train.

It's basically a platform but it's a nice platform that includes a shelter and some flowers. Make sure you have a wee before you wait for the train as there's no toilet and the trains are irregular
