As a member would it be right to comment on probably the best indoor bowling centre in the UK? Probably not. Let's inform those that need an outlet to erase boredom, those that are lonely and those who hanker after competion but don't realise that bowling is a sport that involves a lot of skill but welcomes the novice.

The club is managed by a superb friendly team and is owned by the members. It runs courses with equipment supplied. The cafeteria provides quality food at affordable prices. A round from the bar will cost little and stocks a wide variety of drinks.

If you have thought about the game and always wondered what it can offer you? Then come down to Damside, walk in and chat to to the staff, have a meal or a drink, sit and watch or have a game, you will love it and you will make friends and add a little bit of happiness to your life.

Went for the first time on Sunday just to watch, as we're considering learning to play bowls with a view to joining a club. The people we met there were helpful, informative and friendly. We even got a delicious Sunday lunch for two for just over £11. Looking forward to trying out bowls for ourselves.

If you want to play indoor bowls in the Carlisle area it's the place to go. Friendly staff and members, very reasonable prices for food and at the bar. What's not to like.

Excellent venue to bowl indoors. Food and drink available. Very professional set up. We're very accommodating to my in-laws from Hong Kong when they wanted to play.
