Go there weekly with friends to play badminton, felt bit expensive. So many activities are there for adult and kids. Parking is not an issue there , always get parking.

A stunning discovery! Was attending Got a party here at the Dagenham Park Leisure Centre. Never visited this centre before. Pleasantly surprised!

A leisure centre - a hidden gem - hiding in plain sight within the Dagenham Park CoE School and behind Old Dagenham Park! Leisure Centre is part of the Dagenham Park Church of England School. Leisure Centre has plenty of amenities and sports facilities available for the local community, organisations, clubs & schools.

Leisure Centre is open 7 days a week with extended opening hours during school holidays. Conveniently, it has a reasonably large car park available for users and it's FREE 🆓 of charge! It also has fully accessible toilet and baby changing areas! Some facilities have restricted hours during weekdays due to being a full-time CoE School onsite!

The whole area is securely fenced with large tiled open square space with plenty of benches and picnic tables - a perfect place for children to run about safely and for adults to have fresh air!

Each Space/Area of the leisure centre comes with essential equipments when you hire the space. Changing and Shower Facilities, Projectors, TV Screens and Whiteboards are available as part of the hire. At additional cost, PA System (Microphones 🎤 & Speakers 🔊) and other equipments can be hired on request! For additional equipments and full information - it is better to speak to members of staff before making any bookings.

The following facilities are available at this Leisure Centre:

Sports Facilities include - Fitness Suite, Sports Hall (suitable for badminton, basketball, netball and volleyball), Floodlit Astro-Turf Pitch(5 a-side and 9 a-side games of hockey 🏒 or football ⚽ ), Multi Purpose Room, MUGA, and Climbing 🧗‍♂️ Wall.

Flexible Function/Meeting Room Hire facilities include - Lounge, Large Function Room (100+ people), Small Function Room (80 people), Multi Purpose Room - flexible spaces are adaptable to different settings & requirements! Based on the requirements of the event/programme/function, the rooms/spaces can be adapted to suit the required needs facilitating different type of events.

Performance Studios include - Dance Studio, flexible School Drama Studio, School Performance Hall - suitable for drama practice & rehearsals, dance, aerobics or yoga.

State of the art Classrooms are also suitable for hire suitable for tutoring classes, training sessions!

A minor but very important factor that impacts the quality of the Function Rooms - lack of availability of toilets. Both function rooms are located outside the main Dagenham Park Leisure Centre building. Conveniently, access to the function rooms through the open square without needing to access to the main building. Sadly, there isn't any toilets 🚻 ♿ 🚽 available in the function rooms. Only available toilets 🚻 ♿ 🚽 are located inside the Leisure Centre Building - considerable distance from the large function room and even longer distance from the small function room. At bad weather, ie rainy weather, there is no way accessing the toilets 🚻 ♿ 🚽 without being wet in the rain ☔!

I play badminton here every Tuesday. Great sports hall and non slippery surface which is very important for badminton. Friendly reception staff, changing rooms and showers are never too busy which I also like. Good size free parking

Lovely place for gym and sports especially badminton. However the bathroom had no handwash which was a shame!

TLDR: Overall good place to play badminton although knocking off one star due to lighting.

Good parking availability and very good court availability for badminton.

My one gripe is the lighting in the sports hall isn't great, so although it didn't really affect me, some of the people in the group that needed glasses couldn't see the shuttle too well. We use feathers so I suspect this wouldn't be as much of an issue if you use yellow plastic shuttles.

If lighting isn't an issue for you, you also just need to bear in mind that the sports hall is quite cold (at least during winter months) and so you likely need to use speed 79 shuttles rather than the usual 78 (yonex speed 3) which we are used to.
