Dartford Library is a very good library. It has a large children’s section and a good adult book area with a wide selection of genres to select from.

There is a reasonable table area for working and there are computers that are available to use too.

The self-serve area also makes checking books in and out very easy.

The only downside was it was quite cold in the winter sitting working in the table area for an hour.

However, the library is set in a beautiful building.

Pro's: Lovely building, great sections for adults and kids. Lots of space and well stocked with an excellent range of books.

Con's: It's more of community hub than a silent library. I've visited 4 times and the amount of calls in study area make it distracting and pointless to find somewhere quiet. People bring in take away meals too which isn't ideal.

It would be excellent, but it's not respected by visitors nor are staff doing anything about it sadly.

printing is way cheaper than Rayman's prices. Please get a library card and print things from the library instead!

A lot of variety of books and friendly/helpful staff.

Everyone needs to try to engage more with their library and use it so the council can see that it's been used and can put more money and resources into improving it. It will benefit everyone, I am 100% sure.

Library is great, large collection with different secrions, has a kid area and lots of events/activities throughout the week. The museum is small but informative, staff are friendly and helpful.

So I am very annoyed

I pop in here now and again. The staff are usually very nice however today I asked for my card number and wow the new lady who dealt with me was beyond rude long grey wavy hair with a fringe. It seemed like she really didn’t want to be there but also her whole customer service and face was off. Even when I said please and thank you for my print out her body language & face was foul. I am not sure maybe she is going through something in life but those manners should not be on front desk. I had to return to her on 2 occasions for 2 print outs however this time around I had no care for building rapport or smiling. You get the same energy back. I am a very polite manned young lady who will continue to have respect for everyone however you can not expect respect if you don’t give the same energy. I shall avoid her service from now on. I hope others were able to hold their tongue the way I did today.

Lots of books covering every area of knowledge for all ages here. The staff and attendants were quite courteous and friendly.

The books are well taken care and we fond some that were more than 50 years old here. This is one place I look forward to visiting again.
