Always a good experience, everyone I've seen at Deddington for various issues over the last 10 years have been professional and helpful. The triage system always works well for me with a fast response and is a decent solution in a system where demand is far outstripping demand and resources.

I had an appointment to see Dr Chambers on 19/12/24. I was seen on time, the doctor carried out a very thorough examination and put my mind at rest. Would recommend this doctor and surgery to anyone.

For repeat prescriptions and general health tests the practice is very good, however, trying to get an appointment is very difficult indeed. The 'triage' service they want us to use can only be accessed at certain times and if no appointments are available you cannot submit the form until the following day.
They say you can phone them at 8am and they will complete the form for you, however the waits are regularly over 30 minutes and its still unlikely to get you a prompt appointment.
My experience suggests they would prefer you burdened other areas of the NHS so they can protect their statistics rather than see their patients and deal with any illness.
Not impressed considering Deddington Health Centre was once an excellent practice.

Triage system is a nightmare as although online it’s only accessible during work hours and often they reach full capacity by 3pm and then you can’t make appointment. Impossible to get through on phone you will be on hold for ages. If you do manage to navigate the online triage you don’t actually see a doctor it’s all over phone or text messsges. For example I had a problem swallowing and via text messsge was sent a YouTube link explaining how to take clear pic of throat using my phone. Maybe all doctors are like this now but I would be delighted to actually speak to a real person and visit a doctor in person again. I’m now trying to navigate a repeat prescription which keeps saying contact the surgery - I wish!!

I have been with this surgery for 14+ years and have always rated it at 5* . The last 9 months has seen a slip and it is near impossible to see or speak to a GP . The final crunch for me was when I contacted them regarding severe back pain ( on going issues) I was off work due to the pain, first available phone call with a GP was mid July, I then contacted the surgery via phone call explaining how urgent the request was, 5 days later received another text message with a tlf consultation on the 11th July. I have now put in a request to change surgeries . Dr Ruddock and her initial team have been excellent over the years both for me and my mother but the lack of care thar is now present os shocking. Such a shame.

I went online at 8.00 this morning to request an appointment and by 8.45 I'd had a phone call asking if I could be at the surgery by 9.30 today.
I was called into Mark's consultation room at exactly 9.30. I was in there for a good 10 minutes. I had lots of checks done by a very friendly and efficient young man. And left feeling very reassured about my situation.
Fabulous service, well done Deddington health centre

It took me more than a year to get registered here, the only health centre who covered my village.
I have been sent various messages about getting a shingles vaccine. The NHS app says contact your surgery, the surgery doesn't answer the phone even though the message says call after 9.30, and I am first in the queue and have been waiting for ten minutes for anyone to answer. If I leave a message on the website they might respond in 3 days, but it could be longer.
What a rubbish situation. Why do they even bother?

Poor doctor-first, patient-last approach, they seem to actively discourage you getting an appointment. Stopped giving access to routine appointments for almost 2 months whilst ‘updating the website’ (no other business would get away with this’, now you have to submit a form to get an appointment with the promise that someone will get back to you WITHIN 3 DAYS. How is this a good service You can’t ring and are lucky if you get text advice from a doctor. Seems unethical .
