Incredible experience. From the moment I walked in I felt cared for, understood and respected. Without exception each member of staff were wonderful, the nursing team, kitchen team, mentors & therapists. The program is well structured, keeping everyone busy but not overwhelmed. The content of the program is brilliant, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed my 28 days and have taken much away with me that I continue to use each day. I feel more settled and content than I have in years. The continued support of Delamere with the Bloom program and aftercare zoom meetings are in my view unparalleled. Thank you so much literally everyone involved. Highly highly recommend without reservation.

Delamere is a facility that quite simply saved my life, the staff, nurses in fact everyone are outstanding, its tough to admit you have a problem but at Delamere they get it they take care of you bring you back to planet earth and slowly but surely they rebuild you to be the best version of yourself. If your worried about taking the first step please don't be, the toughest part is making that first phone call after that you will meet fellow guests which will also take care of you and after a few days you will feel completely at home.

My journey at Delamere began on the 16th May 2023 and it was a journey. Prior to going to Delamere I was in the grips of depression and anxiety. My days were empty with me self isolating from the world. I was drinking to self medicate. I reached a point when I knew myself that I had to do something. I wanted to regain control of my life and hopefully find renewed purpose for the things I used to love.

Within hours of arriving at Delamere I felt relaxed. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable by all the staff and other guests as soon as I was introduced to them. It felt such a relief to be in a place where everyone understood.

The Delamere journey takes you through the STOP, START, GROW phases of recovery. It is a great balance of stages and well paced. The programme runs alongside the multiple one to one therapy and mentor sessions you attend. The combination really made me do some serious soul searching. I had to put the work in myself as well which is crucial in order to get the most out of it.
There were also the other experiential therapies (equine therapy, reiki, yoga, breath-work, music and art). It was wholesome (as are the amazing freshly prepared meals!). I felt wholesome.

It can’t go without mentioning that the setting and grounds are beyond beautiful. I very much miss walking in and around all the wild flowers each morning.

Delamere really did work for me. I can cope with anxiety as it arises. I can do one day at a time. I can enjoy the little things. I have energy 😊

I honestly can’t thank every single member of staff enough for making Delamere such a special and unique place. At Delamere I STOPPED and with the help I needed I took stock of myself and who I want to be. Delamere has given me a new future. Thank you so much to the Delamere team.

Not my usual holiday destination …….and usually i like a weekend away…not 28 days!? But i checked into Hotel Delamere in May 2023.
I can’t speak highly enough about this place and its amazing staff.
Going in I wasn’t in a great place and the first few days were tough, but i was cared for by the amazing Delamere team.
Once they eventually convinced me to come out of my room i realized what a stunning place it was.
The building….the gorgeous grounds… but most of all the staff and other guests.
From coming in scared of everything and everyone i settled into the groups and activities.
I learned so much and met some truely amazing people.
Miss my walks round the grounds and all the people i met.
Early days yet but i have come out a stronger person with all the tools i need to remain sober.

Where to start!

My experience at Delamere was one I will never ever forget. I truly believe it’s such a special place run by the most amazing people I have ever met. I was able build close relationships with every single staff member who helped in my recovery, especially with my recovery mentor and therapist. The structure of the program is incredible and well presented. I learnt so much about myself in Delamere and cannot thank the team enough. Everything taught in Delamere are tools for everyday life that I will be forever grateful for. Not only did I build a relationship with myself, I also have made lifelong friends that I hope to stay in touch with forever. Delamere is a family and I 100% recommend!

Going to rehab is probably one of the most daunting experiences I have ever had, however I feel so lucky that I ended up in Delamere. I had researched a few options and had a poor response. Delamere were proactive, helpful, efficient from the start. The facility itself is beautiful, you are surrounded by nature. The environment is comfortable and welcoming. The staff are simply amazing and this is where Delamere really get it right. Each staff member is professional, empathetic, understanding, caring, kind, welcoming, non judgemental and extremely knowledgeable about addiction. The programme of recovery is well put together, interesting and empowering. As hard as I found it, I still look back and feel blessed that I ended up there! Although we were all there for different reasons, there is a very lovely atmosphere of togetherness and mutual understanding. To summarise, this was a life changing and life saving experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sinead
