Learning about Edward Jenner in school, I was always intrigued to find out more about him. I was so happy visiting his home and learning more about the smallpox vaccine pioneer! The garden is lovely too, it's delightful to see how medical treatment has changed over the years!

Staff inside the house/museum was really lovely too. We pre-booked our tickets for 16:00 but arrived 30mins early, it was no problem to enter the house early.

I highly recommend visiting this place!

Home of the pioneer of vaccination against smallpox. Informative historical displays in each room give an account of Jenner's life, work and legacy. With a very pleasant garden, and a gift shop if you need a plush toy virus.

We hired the house for a private event, the house and gardens are stunning, and made for an amazing setting for a few drinks. The volunteers who work there were incredibly accommodating and the museum itself was full of interesting information about the life of an extraordinary local man who made a huge impact on the planet. The Temple of Vaccinia is there where locals were vaccinated for free. A must see for people interested in medical history / virology, and an amazing setting for a private event.

A really interesting house where you can learn about an inspirational man who did so much for health care in mid 1800s. He had lots of interests and realised after studying cuckoos and hedgehogs things we know that we don’t Wonder how we know it. Well it was Mr Jenner and his curiosity. The garden is lovely and still has the hut where small pox vaccines were carried out on the whole village. An amazing structure . The physic garden is small but so full of life I have never seen so many different species of bee in one place , loving the marjoram. The Volunteers are passionate about the house and spreading the genius of Dr Jenner , he was also a gracious man. The house is owned by a trust so they welcome any support if that means a visit or new volunteers . The village of Berkeley is very picturesque , the church is also worth a visit which is adjoining . Berkeley castle is also next door.

£8 per adult entrance to the house , free parking.
