I've struggled with my weight and a negative body image for so many years, and the belief that my worth was directly related to the number on the scale. I was feeling very discouraged as I'd picked up quite a bit of weight in the past 3 years as a combined result of lockdown, menopause, making poor choices and a general lack of movement. I didn't know where to start, and felt overwhelmed by the vast amount of seemingly conflicting information on the internet. When I heard about Eddie's 'The Kindness Revolution' programme in Dr Rangan Chatterjee's Friday Five email in January, I was curious about the different approach Eddie seemed to be offering.

I'd tried other popular weight loss programmes before and had always picked up the weight again, so was concerned that this one might be just another one I would fail at. The TKR programme starts with simple yet achievable habits that you stack as you progress through the 12 weeks. The daily emails provide encouraging insights and actionable steps, and I found Eddie's approach warm, refreshing and genuine. Alongside the help with making more nourishing food choices, Eddie also provides support with tackling and reframing negative thought patterns, coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and learning how to be kind to yourself and others around you. During the 12 weeks I had the stress of starting a new job, the hormonal upheaval of stopping and then restarting HRT under medical advice, so was happy to still manage to lose 5kg doing the programme. I wanted to keep the momentum going and start doing some strength training so worked one-on-one with Eddie for another few months. He has helped me build a regular gym habit by working with me to understand what I wanted to achieve and what time I had available, and created weekly routines to help me with those goals.

I am a constant work in progress as there is always room for improvement, I still slip up regularly and need to dial up the new habits I have learned, but I am a lot more confortable in my own skin, I'm (mostly) kinder to myself and I have the tools I need to keep me going, to keep me questioning the unhelpful thought patterns and to congratulate myself for the victories on the way.

I highly recommend working with Eddie. He's real, honest, encouraging, non-judgemental, incredibly helpful and a genuinely lovely person.

I've just completed Eddie's The Kindness Revolution programme and what a brilliant programme it is! Full of doable habits to incorporate in to everyday life that step by step, gently support you in your quest to become the best version of you. Eddie is there every step of the way, helping you to negotiate your own journey, supporting and encouraging you. It's not a diet, it's a new way of thinking!

When I first started with Eddie I was struggling with many things. Struggling with my body image and having negative thoughts, was going to the gym but not seeing progress as I didn’t know exactly what to do when I was there. I was also struggling with being so focused on calorie counting and “dieting” that I would be hard on myself for eating out or having a “bad day of food” but I now know that’s just life and I shouldn’t of been punishing myself for that.
My only concern when deciding to sign up was whether I would still not see any progress in my body but until now it should have been my mental state that I was more concerned about.
When I first started with Eddie I instantly felt at ease and in a safe space. Although it took a while for me to believe in myself and that I would see changes both physically and mentally Eddie was very good at reassuring me that it would happen and he helped me to gain a lot of confidence in myself.
Whilst working with Eddie I achieved so much and I can’t thank him enough for that. Previously I was struggling to make progress in the gym and in the first 12 weeks I was lifting nearly double my starting weights in some exercises which is something I could never have imagined.
I no longer calorie count, restrict myself or feel guilty for eating something I enjoy. I now understand that I need to look at everything as a wider picture rather than just one meal at a time.
I also no longer look at my body in a negative way, it is my body and I don’t need to compare myself to anyone else (which is something I did multiple times a day before). I have never felt so confident both physically and mentally and I look forward to where I can get to in the future.
I would highly recommend Eddie to anyone who is struggling mentally or physically with their body or mental image of themselves as he will do everything he can to help you. I always felt so comfortable to ask for help not just at our weekly catch ups but on the app too. I also never felt ashamed to tell Eddie if I’d been out or had two takeaways at the weekend because Eddie would never judge or make you feel ashamed of your choices as I now know it’s life choices that make the difference.

When I first reached out to Eddie I was in a really negative head space and despondent about my ability to make any meaningful difference to my health and wellbeing. I had spent around forty years, since my early teens, focused obsessively on the number on the scales. I had tried all the crazy diets and as I got older realised this wasn't healthy or sustainable so tried my best to research better options. I became totally overwhelmed with the deluge of (often contradictory) information out there. I felt like I was in a pinball machine bouncing from one theory to another, not confident in anything I was trying and not really sticking with anything.

When Eddie popped up on my social media I decided this was it - this was the LAST thing I would try. I would prove that this approach wouldn't work either and then give up once and for all. I was struggling with menopause and had no more energy or headspace to continue in the way I had been.

After reaching out to Eddie I had an initial video call and it's no exaggeration to say my life changed in those 30/45 minutes. Eddie is straight talking, sensible, non-judgemental and SO enthusiastic! He asked me to trust him and follow his really simple advice...so I did.

Life hasn't been easy for me whilst working with Eddie. I have had some pretty big obstacles to overcome and he has been so much more supportive than I could ever have hoped. He's helped my stay focused on self care in a way that not only helped me get through some really tough times with my physical and mental health intact but I also managed to complete a half-marathon!

I can honestly say Eddie has changed my relationship with food, exercise and with myself!! I do still struggle from time to time but I accept that as part of life, I've stopped using my weight as a measure of my worth.

He is so much more than a coach, he's a genuinely lovely human and I can't recommend working with him enough - whatever your goals are he's there to help you achieve them. What are you waiting for?!

I joined Eddies’ Kindness revolution to do something for me. For years I tortured myself through the diet industry…. You name it, I’d tried it!
Eddie has truly shown me that it is about kindness and balance, that I don’t have to be so restricted, so sad and so negative. I’ve learned lots about myself and some great methods to help me find balance and improve my health. I’m fitter, stronger, and more lean thanks to the positivity and help from Eddie.

Eddie's approach makes total sense to me. It is based on building healthy eating and exercise habits on a daily basis. His daily emails are totally relatable, very easy to digest, and full of common sense which makes his plan motivating and very easy to follow. This isn't a restrictive diet - it's a healthy way of eating and exercising. A very positive way of approaching life, which works perfectly for me.

Working with Eddie is great, he gets you to really look at yourself and encourages you to do that in a positive way, not looking at the flaws you think you have. The way he looks at food what you eat and how this affects well being is a completely different approach. Eddie has been amazing. He came into my life at just the right time. After years of yo-yo dieting he's helped me to develop a positive attitude to food, I now realise there's no such thing as good and bad foods. It's all about balance and outlook.
