I've bought a couple of doors from Barry over a few years and all I can say is that he has been amazing.
I have a very old property and finding doors to fit is near impossible,until you ask Barry.
Barry has had something of absolutely stunning quality available or will go out of his way to track something down.
Extremely customer focused and very friendly to deal with.
The doors have always arrived very quickly and well packaged.

Absolutely delighted with my new front door. Barry spent time and effort to help me chose the right door for me which his expert team had to alter to fit. Brilliant company to work with. Bar was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and great fun. We bought 2 amazing doors, both were altered professionally whilst retaining all of their period charm. You need go nowhere else to find the period door of your dreams. I’ve painted one door and will update my review with more photos once I’ve done the other.

This place is an absolute treasure trove of doors, mantles, screens etc. Barry and his team are very helpful, understanding and flexible. Nothing is too much trouble. We found a super old oak door that had come from a Cornish farmhouse, Barry and his team made a beautiful frame for it and delivered it to site. Their workmanship is exemplary. The door looks fabulous. Highly recommend these guys.

Came across an amazing old stain glass window on the website which was perfect for our house renovation. They could frame it for me and knowing nothing about joinery I thought it was expensive. How wrong was I?
With prices of wood soaring in the current climate, I found out from a joiner friend that the wood alone would be expensive but when Patrick delivered the window (and a beautiful Georgian door) to South Yorkshire, he explained the difficulty of making an arched frame. First they had to make a prototype to ensure that the final frame would be of accurate size. Just look at the workmanship in the photo. These guys are professional to the highest degree.

The door I bought was too tall but Patrick cut it down to the correct size before delivery.

Patrick was a super guy to deal with, as was Barry. Very down to earth and always kept up to date with progress. I cant wait to send photos of the window in situ, super excited. Thanks guys 🙂

We're delighted with the stained glass door we bought from Barry and his team at English Period Doors. Having seen a couple of doors online we went to the workshop where Barry was able to advise us on sizes and styles, and we bought an art deco door and had a frame made to fit. We're very happy with our beautiful new door and had a great experience buying from Barry - not only is he obviously passionate about what he does, he's a lovely friendly guy who makes a great cup of tea!

We've had what I can only describe as a horrid door since we've moved to our house. Finding a replacement however been difficult as its hard to find something appropriate for an Edwardian property which is also the right size, as our doors are way bigger than standard doors.

Then I found English Period Doors, a niche company that specialises on old doors. I explained what we wanted and provided the dimensions and Barry, the owner, came up with several great candidates.

One we especially liked. As it happens though, even this door was a little too small but Barry explained that it was within the margin of adjustment.

In the end we had them alter the door making a bit wider and taller, create a matching fan light (looks amazing doesnt it!), get rid of the letter box and generally clean the door up and finally fit the door and the fan light.

During the whole process they kept me informed and sent me pictures. The fitting was great as well. A really good experience all in all and nice people.

We think it looks stunning and feels as if it always belonged there. Cant describe how happy we are, it has transformed our hall.
