As a student who attends Excelsior Academy, I personally think that this school is the worst. The school is packed with bullies and nobody does ANYTHING about it. This is the same for when you're feel ill/unwell. One time, me and my friend were sitting together on the scholars, and this random guy started to spray deodorant in our faces till the point we couldn't breathe. We told our head of year that we didn't feel well but we chose to see how we felt. Later on, we felt sick and tried to tell our head of year, but all they said was that we "only had one lesson left" and sent us back to class. Another thing that I don't sit well with is the evidence of an appointment. If you don't have ANY evidence of having an appointment, you cannot go unless your parent/parents or carers come into school. As for someone who has watched one of my friends experience this, it IS annoying. Another thing that happened that day is that my OTHER friend had a headache and got sent home because her parent came in to get her. One other thing that I am annoyed with is that there is NO MORE BREAKFAST CLUB! As a person who doesn't really have time to eat before school, this is the MOST annoying thing to me. So if your child wakes up late and cannot have the time to eat breakfast, then there isn't ANY other way to eat unless you buy something like a snack before your child leaves for school. And the fact that some students can't get food at lunch is outrageous. This doesn't just go for me and/or my friends, it also applies to other students. In my honest opinion, I do NOT recommend sending your child to this school.

It's a very disrespectful school they treat their students very badly, it's like a prison so please do not put your children into this school you will end up putting your own kids at risk by doing so. I'm kindly asking not to thank you.

the school does not know if the child is at school. after registering in the morning, the child can leave the school. one child was killed by a car because of their responsibility, because they did not know where he was. they give importance to attendance even when the child is sick. they have no record
if the child stays after school. they have a mess in their emails if you need a document or if you need to communicate with them. at the reception, they don't take care of your needs or your child. I do not recommend the school and I am considering changing schools

A* grades to all staff for the brilliant extremely hard work they do with their students, day in day out year after year. Growing up in Newcastle West is very difficult and I've seen so much negativity in the 30+ years I've lived in Elswick. However the very impressive young people I've engaged with today are a credit to their families and Excelsior, I wish every one of them a happy successful rewarding future.

Absolutely shocking, excelsior be ashamed of yourselves, for months my 13 year old sister has been getting bullied to the point I had to come to the school last time and nothing was resolved, and now for her to be followed and assaulted by 14 MALE students and be brought home by police, is outrageous, I can’t even explain how angry I am and I hope them students are reading this right now. It’s not over.
This school is full of nothing but BULLIES

Only reason kept me going here is Miss Daglish and Mr Smith the chemistry teachers are the worst teachers ever in two years i learned nothing about chemistry and a lot about beef in between teachers. Maths department is excellent though Mr Newburn is a great maths teacher very supportive and some times a friend to go to. The biology department is okay but they blame me for being seriously ill and missing lessons also a teacher was absent for the first year shouldn’t judge me if I don’t understand the first year no one taught me anything about it… . If you want a good future please don’t go to excelsior because you will be wasting your time.
